World ScreenRecorderはあなたのスクリーンのビデオを捕獲する簡単で小さいappである。 Just load the app and hit record, then load the app you want to record. ScreenRecorder runs in the background. Once you’re done recording, you have to go back into the ScreenRecorder app to stop the recording. The developer warns of not recording over about 45 seconds due to memory issues and then crashing. You can view the videos from the app but not in your camera roll. This means you have to SSH off the videos to then upload them to a online service. From my tests, it’s not a very high frame rate but better than nothing. There is also no audio.

ScreenDimmer

ScreenDimmerI’ve been looking for a replacement to an app I used to use called iDimLight. It basically mirrored the feature of the Mac laptops that dims the screen to save battery when you’re not using them. I tend to never use the autolock feature and just manually lock my iPhone. Now I can have my screen dim after being on for 45 seconds or whatever I set it to by a new app that works with 3.0 to 3.1.2 called ScreenDimmer.

The app installs into your Settings app and not an icon on our SpringBoard. From Settings you can:
- disable the feature
- have it turn off the backlight or dim it
- toggle option for dimming the screen during charging
- adjust the timing from 5 seconds to 15 minutes
- exclude the feature while running certain apps
- and choose to dim apps with disabled idleTimer (apps like navigation or video playback)

I love this feature and it’s one of those hacks I say is worth jailbreaking for.

element Element is a lock screen mod that began as a concept and has turned into the real thing. Since it began as a concept back in September, there hasn’t been much to tell, but it seems that that one and only Jay Freeman (better known as saurik) is helping to make this thing happen. So, it’s time to get the information rolling. According to a recent tweet (see below), a beta of the lock screen mod will hit Cydia next week.

“Our iPhone lockscreen will be called Element. Fingers are crossed for a beta next week.” – via @gteehan

I don’t know about you guys but, I would love to have the perfect lock screen mod! I’m currently using LockInfo and like it. I can’t wait to check out Element… it looks like it is going to be pretty sweet.

Below is some info about the mod via the dev’s blog.

When you install Lock Calendar, your events will automatically start to display on your lock screen…you do not turn the app on via WinterBoard. It will display your next ten upcoming events. New “Always-On” Display for the iPhone?

Apple It seems that Apple has put out a patent on a new display technology. The patent shows a sort of two-layer backlight system that would allow for an “always-on” display for the iPhone while at the same time using very little battery power. This would allow for a sort of status notification without having to turn the iPhone on essentially giving you the ability to see if you have a missed call, text message, voicemail or a new email. This would be very similar to some of the lock screen status notification applications available on jailbroke iPhones but, without even having to turn your iPhone on! AppleInsider has a very nice article about the patent that include a few images. Below is a quote from the article and one of the patent images.
