LockDockBar LockDockBar is an application that allows you to launch your Phone, Mail, SMS and Calendar apps from your lock screen. How to take a Screenshot of your iPhone’s Lock Screen

AiS Ok, for the longest time I have not been able to figure out how to easily take a screenshot of my lock screen on my iPhone. Honestly, I was hoping we would see Capture updated for the 2.x firmware but since it has not happened yet I decided I better try a different method (though, I am still hoping to see Capture!)! Here is what I figured out…ok, Doug actually told me about it! :) Either way, below are step-by-step instructions on how to take a screenshot of your lock screen on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

IntelliScreen 2.21 and 2.22

Available In: Cydia       Price: $4.99 – $49.99

IntelliScreen In the last few days, there have been a few updates to IntelliScreen. The updates do not add any new features, they are just bug fixes. Below you will find the complete list of bug fixes for both versions. I have noticed that on my lock screen sometimes my passcode will display behind all the info on my lock screen. I can still enter my passcode and it works…I think it is just a glitch, it happens randomly!! [Read more…]

IntelliScreen 2.2

Available In: cydia       Price: $4.99 – $49.99

intelliscreen There is an update to IntelliScreen 2.2, a lock screen enhancing application, in Cydia today. Below is a complete list of changes, bug fixes and known problems. One things that I did find interesting is that the update is said to make IntelliScreen compatible with firmware 2.1 however, Doug and I have both been using IntelliScreen on our 2.1 for a while now and it seemed to work fine. So, I’m not sure what the deal is with that.

One cool new feature includes a new vibration alert that will vibrate with; Mail=2 fast beeps, SMS=2 slow beeps, Call/VM=3 beeps, Calendar=4 beeps. Another cool new feature is that after you make your changes in IntelliScreen, it no longer resprings the SpringBoard. After you make the change and select Apply, the app just closes. It is kind of weird at first because you expect it to respring but I definitly like it!! They also say that that overall InteillScreen is [Read more…]

iPhone Passcode Not as Secure as Once Thought!

Settings I found out read today that there is a work around for the iPhone’s Passcode, making the iPhone not as secure as I once thought it was! It seems that when your iPhone is locked and you are prompted to enter your Passcode, you can select Emergency Call and then double tap your Home Button and it will launch your double tap settings. Meaning, if you have your Favorites set as your Home Button double tap (your iPhone’s Home Button double tap is set automatically to your Favorites so, if you have never changed it in your Settings, that it what it is set as), people are able to get into your Favorites even if your iPhone is locked.

At first this may not seems like an issue. So, they might call a few of the people on your Favorites list. Well, it also means that if you have an address, email address, Safari link, etc in any of the info for your contacts they can get into all of that as well. If you have an email address set for one of your favorites, [Read more…]

IntelliScreen 2.01

Available In: Cydia       Price: $4.99 – $49.99

IntelliScreen The update to version 2.01 of IntelliScreen just makes a few changes to the application. The two visual changes include the ability to choose alert sounds (see screenshots below) and an IntelliDial screen even if you do not have any Favorites selected. Now, if you press the Home button to go to IntelliDial and you do not have any Favorites selected you will get a screen that says, “IntelliDial uses your contact favorites. You have no favorite contacts.” There was also one bug fix that had to do with the app not starting. Other than that, no major changes. Though, I sure am glad to have IntelliScreen back! I really missed this app!! You can get IntelliScreen 2.01 in Cydia via the Intelliborn source.

IntelliScreen 1.09 & 1.09b

IntelliScreen The update to version 1.09 of IntelliScreen fixes a few bugs and adds one new feature. The update to version 1.09b of IntelliScreen fixes a bug that made the app crash if it was the first time it was being installed. The new feature on version 1.09 is the ability to add a Location Label to weather locations. The only way to see utilize this new feature is if you delete your Weather locations and re-add them. Because there is no way to edit previously added locations. However, when you add a new location, you will notice a Location Label option. When you add a Location Label, [Read more…]

Screenshot Ability Built into 2.0 Firmware

Firmware 2.0 A few days ago, Doug and I were discussing how we were going to take screenshots on the applications we review, once we had upgraded to firmware 2.0. In the past, we used Capture…an application available through Installer on our jailbroken iPhones. However, firmware 2.0 has not been jailbroke yet, so we could no longer use Capture. Well, no worries, Apple has actually added the ability to take screenshots into the 2.0 firmware! To take a screenshot (a picture of what is on your iPhone’s screen), [Read more…]

iBlackList 1.9.1 – Filter Incoming Calls and Texts

iBlackList I have tested this application many times on many different version and have never done a reivew of it due to the fact that I did not think that it functioned well enough. Well, I am actually quite satisfied with version 1.9.1 of iBlackList. Below is a full review of the application. However, I am going to give a brief warning first. I have never used a call/sms filtering application that works completely perfectly and iBlackList is no exception. Please read this review and install at your own discretion.

SkrewCommon 1.39

iToday The update to SkrewCommon version 1.39 makes some nice changes to iToday. My favorite part of the update is that both the box and the screen are now scrollable. In the previous version, only the screen was scrollable. This adds a ton of functionality to the application. However, it is a little tricky getting used to scrolling just the screen and not the boxes. You have to scroll near the top or on the right of the screen. After a little practice, it is no problem. Both SMS and Call History have been added to the lockscreen. It displays the Date, Time and Contact from the last 10 Texts and Calls you have received. It also displays [Read more…]

IntelliScreen 1.05

IntelliScreen The update to version 1.05 of IntelliScreen just makes one small visual change to the application and fixes a few bugs. The visual change has to do with the Taskbar/Refresh icons…they are now little white refresh arrows instead of having a blue circle. The bug fixes include; Battery usage when using Alerts, Default Dim Time when using the Home Button. IntelliScreen is available through the IntelliBorn source.

Now, it has the correct options under Video Settings. iToday is available through the Skrew source.
