Round and Round is a theme that consists of transparent round icons. Unlike the popular Glass Orb theme, Round and Round adds a bit of color with a colored graphic inside of each transparent circle. Honestly, I feel like I have seen these icons before but, I can’t come up with the name of the theme so maybe they are just similar to another theme’s icons. Round and Round only contains the basic 16 icons and a Cydia icon (no iTunes and App Store icons with this one), a dock and a wallpaper. However, the wallpaper is a little too crazy for me…I went with a plain black wallpaper. You can get Round and Round via the iSpazio source.

How to Install

1. Your device must be jailbroken. (how?)
2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the iSpazio source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for Round and Round in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate the Round and Round theme.

Safety Not Guaranteed is a clear icon theme. I personally love clear icons because I can change my wallpaper and feel like I have a whole new theme! This clear icon set is actually a little different than most…it has a design to it. Most transparent icon themes tend to just be the stock icons…but see-through. The theme contains a dock, wallpaper, status bar, 128 icons and a few UI mods. I did find that I had a little bit of trouble getting the theme to work correctly with the LiveClock and WeatherIcon mods. In order for it to look correct, you can either disable both mods (using the LiveClock Disabled and No Weather Icon mods) or you can move your preferred weathericon and liveclock mods above the Safety Not Guaranteed theme in WinterBoard. You can get this theme via the iSpazio source

How to Install

3. Search for Safety Not Guaranteed in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate the Safety Not Guaranteed theme.

iBlank is an application that allows you to easily create blank/transparent icons. This is ideal for custom modding. I know Doug uses a blank icon under Stack on his dock. It is also nice for lining up your icons exactly how you would like them or use with certain themes. Here is how the app works.

When you open iBlank, you will get the main screen which contains instructions on how to use the application. All you need to do, if you would like to create a blank icon, is select the Create Blank Icon button at the bottom of the page. You will then get a pop-up saying that the icon has been successfully created. Select OK and then hit your Home Button. Your iPhone will respring and you will have a blank icon on your SpringBoard. If you are having trouble finding your blank icon, just make your icons wiggle (tap and hold any icon until they all start wiggling). You can then find it because you will see a space with an x in the top left corner but no icon.

The only issue I have ever had with blank icons is the inability to delete them (see THIS post). So, I was slightly concerned that I would have the same issue with the blank icons created with iBlank. However, I was able to delete the blank icons very easily by selecting the x while the icons are wiggling.

Note: The blank icons that are created are basically blank webclip icons. So, if you are curious, you can find the icons in the var/mobile/Library/WebClips folder on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
