VideoPlayback is an application that will loop videos that are placed in the ~/Media/VideoPlayback folder on your iPhone. The first thing you will need to do after installing the application is SSH in and create a folder titled VideoPlayback in your ~Media folder on your iPhone. On 1.1.3 and above it will look like this – ~var/Mobile/Media/VideoPlayback. On 1.1.2 and below, it will look like this – ~var/root/Media/VideoPlayback. You can then drag video files into the VideoPlayback folder you created. Once you have videos added the folder, you can then open the application on your springBoard. It will open to a list of all the videos you added to the VideoPlayback folder.

If you select one of the videos on the list, it will open the video in landscape mode and will continue to repeat the video until you stop it or until you select Done in the upper left corner. If you select Done, it will bring you back to the list of videos in the application. This is great for showing video presentations to a client or cute home videos to your family! VideoPlayback is available through the ModMyiFone source.

Note: The iPhone can play .MP4, .M4V and .MOV video files. If you want specifics below is exactly what the iPhone can play via Apple’s website. All the videos I tested were .mp4′s and they worked great. Let me know in the comments what your experience has been with this app.
