Technical Definition of Jailbreak:
The iPhone, iPod touch & iPad hack that allow users to gain access to the entire Unix filesystem. In Unix terms, this refers to changing the root of the directory tree to /.
Understandable Definition of Jailbreak:
A hack that gains access to areas of the iPhone, iPod touch or iPad that users aren’t supposed to mess with. Typically, this is an immediate prelude to either installing cool programs, unlocking the handset for use with another cellular network, or both.
Through jailbreaking, you are able to add additional applications to your iDevice. It allows you to do so by adding an application called Cydia to your iDevice. It also allows modding (changing) of your iDevice application icons, wallpaper, dock, status bar, chat bubbles, weather backgrounds, keyboard….etc. For more information on the Cydia or Installer applications, see our f.a.q page.
For instructions on how to jailbreak your iDevice, see our jailbreak page.
Disclaimer: Jailbreaking voids your warranty.

Is really hard to make a jailbreak. thats why dev team take so long.
if i jailbreak a phone is there a possiblity that i lose any information, pics, apps, etc during the process?
can you please let me know what are the risks of jailbreaking?
yes i have had experience with this situation twice. you lose all your data even pictures that you saved get delted
The whole point about having an iPhone is to be able to take advantage of EVERYTHING, that’s why jailbreaking is so good and so fun, unlimited downloads, music, flash, controversial apps, pretty much everything, the only advise I give everyone is DONT jailbreak your iPhone or iPad or whatever yourselves go and download a Professional jailbreak solution like jaiPhone or something like that, you might risk your device badly by doing it by yourself
Jailbreaking is awesome why would anyone not want to jailbreak?
Jailbreaking makes iPhones into what they should have been from the start. In fact, I object to the term “jailbreaking”. Instead there should be a term for non-jailbroken phones. Idiotproof.
But we aren’t all idiots are we? Or do Apple assume that in order to be apple user, one must frist be an idiot?
Would you get caught, and if you do, what would happen?
Maybe close the device??!
does jailbreak downloading need a professional to download it?
