Doug noticed yesterday with all the new viewers to AppleiPhoneSchool.com that many of you may not know how to add an image next to your comments. So, I created a page that walks through how to create an Avatar. You can check out the new page HERE or you can follow the instructions below!
Are you wondering how to get a cool image next to your comments? Well, you’ve come to the right place! In the next few easy steps, you will learn how to create an Avatar (that is what the image next to the comments is called :) ). So, customize away…and don’t be afraid to update it every once and a while! Variety is good!
1. Go to Gravatar.com
2. Select Sign-up.
3. Enter the same email address that you used to sign-up for Apple iPhone School.
4. Select Add A New Image.
5. You can add an image from your computer, from the Internet or use your WordPress Avatar.
6. Upload image.
7. Crop image.
8. Rate image.
9. Go to AppleiPhoneSchool.com and see your new Avatar!
Just a test
where’s my avatar, I followed instructions.
It works fine y’all, just have to be patient, obviously I wasn’t. It just takes a little bit of time to show up.
Once again, thanks for the tip Brooke/Doug.
Testing
Wheres My Avatar
weird, I can see your avatars in our comments control panel, but not here. Maybe it takes a while to update…
ok
Test
I see this one!

Ok, I just set this one up as a test and it worked. It’s a new Gravatar account and never commented before… I’m not sure what’s wrong with the others. You’re using the same email address you use here right?
Yeah I did. I wonder if it just takes some time for some of them to update???

Did you use the same email address you use when you comment on AppleiPhoneSchool.com? If so, maybe just give it some time.

Yeah I can’t get it to work either.
testing… again
it works
I think I got it. Thanks for the heads up. Didn’t know how to add avatar.
Test.
3. Enter the same email address that you used to sign-up for Apple iPhone School.
I didn’t “sign-up” for AIS: it’s just the email that I enter in the “Mail” slot when I make a comment. Is that the problem?
Yes, it needs to be the same email address you use when you leave comments.
testing 1 2 3
Anyone have any ideas why it works for some and not others?
Another test :p
