This is a video demo of ultrasnow, a software unlock for the iPhone 3G running firmware 3.0. Unlocking your iPhone lets you use the iPhone with other carriers like T-Mobile in the US. (This does not work for Verizon) The plan for release is this Friday through Cydia.

If the jailbreak can come out as soon as tomorrow. Will all of the Cydia apps be 3.0 compatible? Cause I know the big one for me is Winterboard and that MyCool iPhone mod (shake iPhone to answer calls). And secondly, does the dev team plan on working on the iPhone 3G S in the near future? Persay…in a couple of months?

will there be a release to help first gen iphone users unlock 3.0? everything seems to be only geared towards the 3g? Doesn’t pertain to me but seems like important information.
You are in a better position with 1st gen because you can update to 3.0 and be able to unlock and jailbbreak today. The 3g have to wait till Friday to unlock with yellowsnow.
so i just saw on itunes that i can upgrade to 3.0 but have yet to find a firm answer how to jailbreak my 2g iphone? any help
