AT&T Third-Quarter Results – iPhone Activations at Record High

##ICON_NAME## AT&T recently published their Third-Quarter results and iPhone activations are at a record high. In the third quarter alone AT&T activated 3.2 million iPhones, 40 percent of which were new AT&T customers. This marks AT&T’s highest quarterly increase of iPhone activations to date. Actually, this past third quarter marks quite a few records for AT&T including; “4.3 million postpaid 3G integrated wireless devices added to AT&T’s network, the largest quarterly increase in the company’s history.”

“Retail postpaid net adds totaled 1.4 million — the second highest third-quarter total in the company’s history, behind only the third quarter of 2008, which included a strong iPhone 3G launch — and were up 20.1 percent versus results in the second quarter of this year.”

    I highly doubt that it will hapen especially now that Verizon are attacking the iPhone with this so called Droid, Motorola Droid that is……The only way that Apple will bring the iPhone on that network is when they actually begin running the GSM LTE network and abandoned CDMA

    A big AMEN for that…..I have been with Verizon before and quite frankly even if they do offer a larger coverage than AT&T, the price I pay using data network is much cheaper using the iPhone to include unlimited SMS, MMS and Tethering in the near future all included on a data plan. While Verizon charging you an arm and a leg for this crap….Screw VERIZON!!!!
