This case looks pretty impressive and surprisingly thin. I saw the case on commandN – Episode #237. They have some pretty convincing videos on the manufacturer’s website of how the case works and I’ve posted them below. They are drop proof to military specs of 2 meters or 6.6 feet, waterproof to 2 meters and snow & sand proof. We’ll try to get one for review once they are out. Right now they are on pre-order only for $69.95. They also make a case for the iPhone 3G/3GS and the iPad. This would make a great case if you have kids!

Press Release
SAN FRANCISCO – February 24, 2011 – LifeProof Cases, Inc. today announced that it is one of 40 never-before seen technology companies selected to present at the LAUNCH Conference, taking place in San Francisco on February 23 and 24, 2011.
To an audience of hundreds of potential investors and media, LifeProof introduced the first and only waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, and snowproof case for Apple’s iPhone® 4 in a sleek design that provides full access to all device functions. The LifeProof cases are available for pre-order with shipment in April 2011 at an introductory price of $69.95.
“We designed LifeProof to meet the challenges of everyday life while maintaining the elegant look that Apple is known for,” said
Gary Rayner, LifeProof Cases founder and CEO. “LifeProof is kid-proof, swim-proof, beer-proof, bike-proof, klutz-proof, hikingproof and more. At the end of the day, the issue is not only about protection, but freedom – freedom to build relationships, gain knowledge, exercise, and juggle work; freedom for all people anywhere to go everywhere.”Unlike bulky protective cases, LifeProof cases are sleek and ultra-slim yet designed to meet military specifications (MIL-SPEC), giving individuals complete freedom to use their iPhone in any wet, dirty, freezing or rough situation. Texting in the shower, videos in the pool, ‘FaceTime’ on the surfboard, LifeProof makes it possible to be anywhere with your mobile device.
LifeProof has several patent applications for 20 innovations and inventions, totaling more than 400 pages. The company spent 18 months and more than $1M to meet the stringent environmental challenges and achieve a simple, sleek design. It was an extraordinarily difficult
project that many of the industrial design firms initially contacted said could not be done. LifeProof went back to the drawing board five times to get it right in order to achieve its strict environmental and design goals.“We knew LifeProof was a killer product that everyone in the LAUNCH community would not only get a kick out of–but that many would want to own!” said Jason Calacanis, founder of LAUNCH.

Jailbreak Rulez!
Hi
I would like to know where cani buy this cover I am residence of UAE Dubai
I bought the lifeproof case and it has worked great for about 4 months. i dropped it again on accident and cracked where you plug the phone in for charging. I also just noticed a cut into the case which leads to my phone. I do not reccommend this phone case. Lifeproof isnt so lifeproof.
I agree with you. I have had it for a month or so and I have this huge, irritating scratch on the screencover. Also the screen cover is impossible to clean, so its a smudgy mess whenever I use it. On the bright side though, i haven’t had it crack. So mine is still considered “lifeproof” just overwhelmingly unattractive.
I am very disgusted with these cases! Drop proof I think not!!! I dropped my phone today in this case and now as a result of dropping it I have a completely smashed screen!!! Not impressed at all!!!
