Please show me how to recover the customize and installer icons, both were unchecked by accident.

Just a simple question:
How do you get the extended springboard, with the2 dots at the bottom?
I know it’s a feature of the 1.1.1 Fw, so does it appears as soon as you have more than 16 apps, or do you need something?
Thanx for your help.
Lin…yes, that is a problem and why I think an update might need to be put out for this app. Anyway….here is an idea for your problem. If you have OpenSSH on your iPhone, use it to install BSD Subsystems. Then, you will want to OpenSSH and install Dock (which requires BSD Subsystems) then you can use the Dock app to get the customize app to open and then you can go into customize and unhide it.
Hope this helps!
Brooke
FreAk…the two dots are a feature of SummerBoard which you install through the Installer.app. They appear once you have more than 16 apps installed. Or, they also show up if you turn on the “skip last row” in SummerBoard. Then you would only need 12 apps for it to show up. The more apps you install…the more dots you have at the bottom of the page (unless you hide them in Customize and use the Dock app to view them). When Customize’s “hide” feature wasn’t working I think I had around 6 dots at the bottom of my screen!!
I was wondering the name of the application you use to take screen shots. that would be very help full if you could link me also. Thank you
There are a few 3rd party apps that allow you to take screenshots…Dock and ScreenShot. Dock is available in the Installer.app throught the Ste Packaging Source...ScreenShot is also available in the Installer.app through the Ste Packaging source. There are a few other ways to do it…but, those are the easiest.
Thanks alot Brooke
