The update to MobileCast 2.2.2 fixes quite a few bugs and adds a few new features! This app is available in the Installer.app through the Ste Packaging source. One of the new features added with the update is an Edit button it the lower left corner of the main Feed menu. If you tap on the Edit button you are able to delete feeds or you can now sort your feeds by moving them in whatever order you would like them in. To move a feed…just tap and hold the three white bars to the right of the feed, then drag it where you would like it and let go (make sure when you are done editing, you tap the Done button in the lower left corner)! Another great new update is the ability to do a quick 30 second fastforward or rewind while watching the video (though, it doesn’t seem to work for me…let me know in the comments if it is working for you!). Below are the exact fixes according to the developer and some screenshots:
If you would like to add the iPhone101 feed to your MobileCast just enter this Feed URL into the RSS Feed section – http://feeds.feedburner.com/iphone101.
Fixes via the Developer:
* Fix for issue #39 – Cancel Download button flashes during download with 2.2.2 RC1.
* Fix for issue #7 – Long titled entries are indistinguishable
* Fix for Menu bar goes away after playing video podcast – issue #26
* Slider in mp3 playback now controls volume (to support itouch users) issue #6 .
* Fix for issue #33 – unable to delete most recently played podcast.
* Small fix to the opml importer – crashing when it encountered an outline without an XmlUrl attribute issue #36 .
* Fix for issue #29 Last item in long feed is unselectable
* Several minor fixes to make the opml importer more robust.
I welcome this new update, i always had a problem with the long podscasts name there were not shown.
ex: PBS NBR was shown as
NBR Program – Wednesday….
with the update, it scrolls to reveal
NBR Program – Wednesday, January 30th | PBS
What I do miss is during PLAY there was a status bar that showed time and time remaining, that is now gone.
“Another great new update is the ability to do a quick 30 second fast forward or rewind while watching the video (though, it doesn’t seem to work for me…let me know in the comments if it is working for you!).”
This does not work for me either, though the status bar is there, on top and i can manually scroll this forward. This status bar shows in the video podcasts but not the audio podcasts.,
