    That is only a $50 savings… looks like they could do at least $100 off for a refurb… I’m thinking about it though… I still have the 2G iPhone.

    $50 because these refurbs are probably just returned phones, not repaired ones.

      you are probably right, but why call them refurbished then? I am currently in Madagascar and they are just this week going to start selling iPhones. I’m going to try to find out if theirs are locked to the local Orange service or if they are unlocked phones. If they are unlocked then I’m just going to get one here. :)

      I’ll be careful about buying one of them phones from another country.I’ve heard that even if they are unlocked and then u update the phone’s software in a country where they are not unlocked it will lock ur phone.

    i got mine during a visit in hong kong for about 400$.. 1st gen 8gb and unlocked ofcourse. then i got a contract where i have 100 minutes inclusive, pay 10€ a month and got 270€ for making the contract instead of a new phone. so i basically got an iphone for 50€…
