Thanks to DJContagious we now know of some cheats for Sim City for the iPhone. Just shake the iPhone and you will get a text box to enter your cheat. So far, here’s what I’ve found:
Type this to set construction costs to $0 per item: i am weak
Type this for all extra rewards: pay tribute to your king

how do I use the cheats for simcity on the iphone?
omigosh! I remember “i am weak” from the old school Sim City cheats =]> Perhaps someöne look up the cheat fer old school Sim City 2000?

I mean’t the keyboard he is using. When I shake my device I get a keyboard but it is the standard iphone one, looks like he has a custom one and I wanted to use it as well.

I had the same problem, I brought everything and still had no people what’s so ever, then I figured out my problem
when you start the game the time (little button in the bottom right hand corner with two verticle lines on it) is sent on PAUSE! lol, I had no idea that was even the time button until I accidently pressed it, then suddenly 10,000 people where in my city lol

How do you make a profit from your city? I’ve tried everything, i think?
some people say it’s not worth $10 well if you get it now free updates and if it gets really good it might actually go up in price
I need money becuase i just keep losing more and more does anyone have cheats or pointers
If you need money, cheats help but aren’t essential. I had the same problem. Go onto the budget then edit it so that the Residential, Commercial and Industrial are within 1% of each other (mine was 15, 16, 17) and buy every free or income Ordinance and eventually it will say Sims Fleeing. Don’t worry, they don’t for long. Set the timer to x3 then watch your income increase. The put the taxes back so that you attract more people. The best thing to do is to find a balance with the number of people to the higher the tax rate. eg, a low tax rate with high numbers to compensate for any lost $$$. Hope it helps, reply to my e-mail with any questions.

It won’t develope if it’s not next to the river or sea coast. Also it has to be big~

how dry i am… no need for water or power lines
Tips to earn money – use the I am weak cheat before you start building. Then when you chose your zones use the bottom option to build, so click on residential then you see 3 options, the top is low income zones, the middle is middle income zones and the bottom is the high income zones. same for commercial and industrial.
do not do the 3×3 residential with park in middle trick, you will not get high rises if you do. you need at a minimum 2×2 for high rise, 3×3 for bigger high rise. I would build 3×3 blocks and put in the large 3×3 park every so often. for commercial and industrial no parks needed just 3×3 blocks.
dont use trains they suck, just use roads and increase the roads budget to max so they never need repairing.
so far the cheats I know are:
“I am weak” – zero building cost
“pay tribute to your king” – all extra buildings
“garbage in, garbage out” – enables recycling
“nerdz rule” – makes it so clean industries are built
One trick i found for raise and leveling terrain is to build roads, just keep building raods across mountains and the terrain will start to level out and build roads next to water and the terrain will raise up.
be careful with pipes though it can cause the ground to sink down.
Shaking the phone does nothing for me.
You have to shake it really hard to get it to work and you have to do it a few times in a row

you can get all the power pants by starting in 2000 and not in the other eras

there is an eye icon on the bottom left of the screen, select this and another menu will appear click on the icon that has a house with an i underneath it this will then display all the pipes you have laid, the select your demolishion tool as usual and destroy away hope this helps

My nuclear power plant exploded like 20 years ago and its still nuclear zone. how long does it take for nuclear zone to go away?

i played the original SimCity in the 90′s and until now i still play the latest version of SimCity’`-
different cheat codes worked for different ipod… yesterday, i typed a cheat code so i dont need the water pipes… and it worked..
today, it didnt
nerdz rule worked for mine today, but last week, when i tried it, it didnt work for me…
but the only one that i use everyday, is the code -”i am weak”
