Not in the Canadian app store, you can only purchase music with them. It is in the FAQ section on the Canadian iTunes webpage. Really ticked me of a few months back when I gave one as a birthday gift.
same. we spend our money on them yet we cant even buy apps. it pissed me of !

Im upset as well as I got iTunes gift card as well but it is useless to me to buy apps here in Canada as well!!!
I typed my ITunes gift card number into my ITunes on my phone, but then when I tried to buy Apps through the App Store, it charged me and didn’t use the gift card number. Is there a way to use the gift card directly in the App Store?
