Cracked Screen is an application that will make your iPhone or iPod Touch look as though it has a cracked (broken) screen…similar to the application Cracks that was available for firmware 1.1.4 and below). When you launch Cracked Screen, you will get a main application page with instructions on how to used the application.
The first thing you will need to do is take a screenshot of your SpringBoard. So, close the Cracked Screen application and take a screenshot of your SpringBoard (if you need info on how to take a screenshot of your SpringBoard, check out our f.a.q page). Once you have a screenshot of your SpringBoard, go back into the Cracked Screen application. Next, select the Open Image Picked button at the bottom of the page. This will bring you to your Photo Albulms where you can then go into your Camera Roll and select the screenshot of your SpringBoard.
When you select your screenshots, it will automatically load onto your screen. Now, the app is activated…the next touch on your iPhone or iPod Touch’s screen will make it look as though the screen is cracked. So basically, you will need to set up the application before you hand it to someone. You will have to let me know in the comments if you have tried this little trick and whether or not it worked!

I gave my girlfriend my old iPod Touch for christmas (i bought me an iphone 3G) just for a laugh i put this on there. the look on her face was priceless, although as soon as she started panicking and pressing buttons she realized it was a fake, as the home button did what it always does and quit to the home screen. but worth the laugh

yeah that might be the dumbest app ive ever seen. i cracked the screen on my last iphone and dealt with it for 6 months.. its not cool

It’d be sooo much better if they disabled the home button like the screen cracker app did on 1.1.4 =\ On the old screen cracker app, the “joke” quit out automaticially after 2 mins, but would be more authentic if it required a hard reset to remedy ^_^

Hi, its ok but if someone could make the original icracks work with the latest firmware that wuld be better. It did more (see youtube video) was wicked and would love to be able to use that one again.

A must HAVE!!! app….
i had it for the 1.1.4 version…..
but this one is more realistic.
My brother was the first one to fell for it:
i was charging my Ipod, with the app running, then my brother
jump to the closet to scare someone, but he put his foot
over my ipod, then he grabs it, and makes a scared FACE looking at it
like for 1 minute, and goes to his room like nothing happend
(of course i was LOL and crying xD )
