 iPhone Firmware 3.0 Release Times |
A few websites are reporting this morning that Hong Kong sent a network-wide SMS notifying iPhone owners that OS 3.0 will be available on June 18th, 01:00 local time. That puts it at 10:00am Pacific, 12:00pm Central, 1:00pm Eastern. For other time zones, see this link.

Usually the new firmwares are up before you would expect them to be, it kind of sucks that they are not up yet.

I’m sure that the jailbreak community will work around the “no video on the 3G” and ” no MMS on 1gen “… remember how they got around the No Emoji for US phones?

Can I press ‘update’ or do I have to press ‘restore’ to upgrade properly?
Either, but upgrading is supposed to make you loose around 500mb on your iPhone. I always restore.
just hit upgrade, unless your phone is jailbroken
Does anyone know if you have to restore? My iPhone 2G is jailroken, but I don’t want to jailbreak after I upgrade. Will my iPhone get bricked?

i never upgarded to 2.2.1. would it matter? or do i have to upgrade to 2.2.1 inorder to get 3.0? so far it tells me that i have to upgarede to 2.2.1
I got 2.2 also. I’m on east coast US and no 3.0 yet for me. Do I need to go through 2.2.1 first?
