HI, I have an 1.1.1 Jailbroke Iphone with 04.01.13 Modem Firmware.
Every time i try to use the new version of iBrickr this message appears:
“Not jailbroken
Sorry, your phone muat be jailbroken and have Installer.app installed to continue.”
Any thoughts?

You probably need 1.1.3 firmware. Try updating, then use the jailbreak.
How do you back up your iphone and will it keep the unlock on an unlocked iphone??????
He is just copying his Settings files via OpenSSH…just in case he needs them later. It is not like a back up that you can go back to to rejailbreak your iPhone!

Im having the same problum. I think is you upgrade to 1.1.3 you wont be able ot jailbreak it (at least not now). Im not sure whats wrong. please help.
Douglas, just out of interest what directories are you backing up?
This will wipe all my applications, right?

@peter…he is backing up his:
/private/var/root/Media
/private/var/root/Library
/Applications (if you use BossTool – your Applications folder is in the private/var/Applications folder)
/System/Library
But, he has a TON of apps installed!!
oh thanks brooke do you think I should do that because i’m going to do this hack or should i just reinstall my apps??? (if that is what you meant)
@Nitai…from what we know, it does not…at least it is not supposed to…though, we have heard a lot of different things. Stay tuned to see what we find out when we do it.
@Hamo…he is making the backup via OpenSSH and just dragging the folders from his iPhone to his Desktop. If you do this you can then go back and get things like your NES ROMS, the levels you have passed in games, your games settings, any custom levels you have made for apps, if you have any accounts set-up with like iMoney…pretty much if you have to restore you can get your custom stuff back.
Really…he is a massive tech guy so, he like backs up EVERYTHING. If it was me…I would just be like; So, lets do this thing!

For those of you are getting the iBrickr error…the forums say that if you close iBrickr and restart your iPhone that it will then work. Also, there are a ton of people trying to download so be patient!

I just got my iPhone the other day. It has version 1.1.3 already installed. So am I right that I can not jailbreak it as of yet?

Is it posted somewhere that this Jailbreak 1.1.3 will not work (or shouldn’t try) on Ipod Touch?? I don’t want to wait much longer :)

how do you remove the 300mb consumed during installation of 1.1.3?
Hey, I did the software upgrade and everything on my 1.1.1 jailbroken iphone that is being used on AT&Ts network. Now I can’t see any of my apps. Installer says I have them installed but they aren’t on my home screen so I can’t open them. What do I need to do to fix this?
Hmm, can jailbroken 1.1.3 still use any kind of SIM if you’ve been using with your 1.1.1?

@Everyone…the first thing you need to do is reinstaller BSD Subsystems!

And my triangulation isnt working either.
I’ve heard many people state they are having trouble uninstalling the old apps after upgrading. I’m wondering if it would be better to uninstall most of the apps before the upgrade is done (save the important apps like SSH and such).

I’d say hold off just for a bit, let me see what works and doesn’t work, let’s see if they figure out a fix for installer and my apps not showing up. I seem to have to uninstall and reinstall apps to get them to work… although I can’t get openssh to uninstall…
