First Impressions: TweetDeck for the iPhone [Twitter]

Available In: App Store       Price: Free

TweetDeckTweetDeck was released tonight so I thought I’d give it a try. First of all, it’s free. That’s nice. Second, I have to admit, I’m a Tweetie fanboy. I prefer it over TweetDeck on the desktop so beware. Really, the thing I think is the problem is it has too many features. I know, seems impossible. There are some great features though. Like nice little pop ups when you get new tweets. It’s kinda set up like safari with multiple pages that can be zoomed in and out and flicked through. I really like the pop up bubble in the bottom left with recent tweet counts. I’m going to try and use it tomorrow along with the crazy day of the iPhone firmware 3.0 release!

Note: I’ve had 2 crashes and a few glitches. See the last couple screenshots. Check out others with crashing problems on Twitter.

Looks neat though, plus you can add multiple accounts on it,i use twitterfon, and its just a single shot, with this one i can add another.

    Thanks again.

It does not have a nearby search. I could not see the current trends either. Keeping Twitterrific and Twitterfon for now

  3. AveSharia says:

Loving this. Wish I could set the update intervals? Seems like it takes forever to update my search.

    • AveSharia says:

Discovered that you can, in fact, set update intervals, per page via the per-page settings in the top right-hand corner of individual pages.

Hmm… I am happy with Twitterific, but will give it a try….

I tried it. I think it’s ok but requires too much work to read your tweets/dm’s/mentions etc.. I like simple and tighter all in one integration where everything is accessible on one screen. For those reasons I like Twitterrific 2.0 a lil bit better.
