Available In: App Store       Price: $4.99

DropCopy DropCopy, a file transferring application, is on sale today (Sunday, August 30th) for free. But, it is today and today only. DropCopy is file transferring application that allows you to easily transfer files between iPhones, iPod touches and Macs. DropCopy has been around since way back in the jailbreak days (we did our first review of DropCopy on November 19th of 2007!). DropCopy is normally $4.99. You will definitely want to pick it up while it’s free!! Check out the App Store description below for more info.

DropCopy

App Store Description:

DropCopy – share files between any combination of iPhones, iPod Touches and Macintosh computers. (If you are on Windows, hold off for the moment – it’s coming, but not available just yet).

What makes us different? Those who use DropCopy for the Mac know that we differentiate ourselves from other file transfer solutions by providing the easiest and smartest way to transfer files between devices. We try to minimize setup, dialogs and repeated authentication drills so you can move your files and continue with whatever you were doing ASAP .

Like its desktop cousin, the mobile version of DropCopy is simply the easiest way to send files between any combination of iPhones, iPod Touches and Macintosh computers on your local wireless network and across the world via the internet.

We’re going to say this again because it is so cool: you can even transfer your files from one iPhone to another iPhone without a computer being involved – the devices simply “see each other” when they are both on the same wifi network.

DropCopy mobile also includes a ‘quick-view’ feature to view many multimedia and document types, including MP3, MOV, PDF and DOC, right on your iPhone!
What’s new

1) many bug fixes and performance improvements
2) restored 2.2.1 compatibility

    Hi Brooke,

Thank you for the awesome tip. Even if it would not have be free, your review alone would have sent me over to the App Store for my next purchase.

    Many Thanks,
    Isabella

That’s nice that it’s free just like when I installed in from Cydia way back when.

    Hi,

I’ve downloaded the DropCopy app from the App Store, but when I visited the 10Base-T website (http://10base-t.com/macintosh-software/dropcopy/), I found that the link to the Snow Leopard compatible beta (1.5.5) is broken and leads to an Error 404 page. Also, I couldn’t register on their forum for some reason, as clicking the Register link does nothing.

Do you know where I can download the beta at all?

    Cheers,
    Steve
