CatchPhrase is a mood tracking application. When you are at work you can mark off the phrases that you catch people saying such as, You’re the best, WooHoo, I hate my job…etc. You are then able to create a graph displaying the general mood based on those phrases. When you open the application, it will open to the main screen. You will see four option in the upper menu bar; Popular, Recent, Alpha and Manual. Below there are the phrases. The Popular option will put the phrases you use most often at the top of the list, Recent will put the phrases you used last at the top of the list, Alpha will put the phrases in Alphabetical order and Manual will put them in the order in which you added them. You have to use the application for a little while before these four option become extremely useful. The application comes with 9 default phrases, you can add your own phrase by selecting the New button in the upper right corner. When you enter a new phrase you will also need to choose what mood that phrase represents (so that it can later be graphed). The mood options include; Angry, Annoyed, Excited, Guilty, Jealous, Loving, Happy, Sad and Stressed. You can delete a a phrase by using the Edit button in the upper left corner.

When you hear someone say a phrase, just tap on the blue + next to the phrase in the list. You will get a pop-up saying that the phrase has been “Caught.” You can view all the “Caught” phrases using the Caught option on the lower menu bar. After you have caught a few phrases, you can graph them using the Graphs option on the lower menu bar. The first graph will show moods in percentages using a pie chart, you can then go to the next graph by selecting next. The next graph will show a comparison of the moods by number using a bar graph and the last graph will show the activity using the application. If you select the Past Week option at the top of the graph page, you will get options on what data you would like to graph. The options include; Today, Past Week, Past Month, All Time and Cancel.
