  1. Yep. I received this message yesterday, and find that it works quite well. I work on an ambulance, and most of my posting locations are near a Starbucks. Gotta love WiFi! Now how do we make it work with PDAnet and tether the laptop in…?

  2. What’s that status bar notifier thing called at the top when it lets you see if you have new mail or texts?

  3. Sweet. I got the text earlier and was going to send you a tip about it, but you already got it, lol. Cool site!

  4. I have a iPod Touch 1st Gen and a McDonald’s 3 min from my house, they have free Wi-Fi for everybody and you don’t have to go through all that to get online… Got to love McDonald’s too…

  5. Plus AT&T and Starbucks forgot about iPod Touch users, we don’t have a phone number to enter to get accepted. thats why i prefer McDonald’s & The Mall. I’m from Lima, Ohio… Thanks…

    • Well, to be fair. ATT&T doesn’t care about iPod users because you do not pay a monthly fee to ATT&T. Legal iphone users, do.

  6. I have gotten free Wifi at Starbucks on my ipod touch for months… whats new about this??

  7. Will this work with unlocked phones? or do you need a contract, my phones unlocked but I got a text message from ATT.

  8. I did not receive the text message telling me about that offer – but I had easy free WiFi access at SB.

  9. Thanks for the info.

  10. Will this work with ipod touch?

  11. Hey Andres, The better part is that WE DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN A CONTRACT FOR 2 YEARS AND PAY A LOT OF MONEY JUST TO HAVE PHONE CAPABILITIES LIKE YOU DO. I have a iPod Touch and a Samsung Verizon Impulse Card Pre-Paid Phone and i am very satisfied with it. With this econonomy who the heck wants to pay a monthly contract. Having a iTouch is like having the phone but BETTER. NO FEES, NO CONTRACT, NO SIGNAL, WE DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT 3G WHEREVER WE LIVE, AND NOT EVERYBODY GETS 3G ON THEIR PHONES EVEN IF YOU OWN A 3G iPhone… So reply, im ready to read what you have to write…

  12. Ohh, we don’t get Internet everywhere we go but still, iPod Touch users, we BETTER!!! and CHEAP…

  13. I got the same text and test it out. It works like a charm.

  14. i do not live near a Starbucks. But, if someone could go to Starbucks, enter their cell number through the iphone, then, when AT&T sends the access link, enter the link into your laptop browser instead of the iphone. Should this work, or does the link check for the iphone browser. If so, update Firefox browser agent to iphone before accessing the link. Just curious.

  15. urelated: i posted a comment but it has says “Your comment is awaiting moderation”

    is this something new ?

  16. finally made it to a starbucks. Not working using access link on laptop even with iPhone browser agent.

This starbucks has at&t, Tmobile and optwifi. iPhone kept jumping to stronger signal, Tmobile.

PS I’m in the parking lot, no budget for a latte.

  17. My works at Starbucks, but when I could not get it to work at two diffrent Barnes and Nobles. Even though it said ATTwifi, it would tell me to try again later.

    • That’s because Barnes and Noble is not Starbucks. I am sure you didn’t see any Starbucks logo in Barnes and Noble. The coffee shop looks and smells like a Starbucks, but it isn’t. Just ask them.
