The fella’s over at StarByte are proud to present Black Mamba Racer! This game is a pretty challenging game about racing in teeny cars amongst many different race tracks. When you first open the app, it asks for your name. This will be your profile name throughout the whole game however, you can change it in the Options menu. Once you enter a name, it takes you to the main menu where you can select from; Play, Options, or Help. Help will bring you to a screen where the Black Mamba Racer gives you a few tips on how to play, and strategies on how to win. Options brings up the normal options, such as Game Volume, Name Change, and others. Play will bring up the level select screen. Levels are set up in 2 races. The first is a time trial to see if you can complete the track in the allotted time. The second one is where you actually race against 4 other drones (Blue one is the toughest opponent, then Green, then Yellow, and White is not so good ;) ).

Once you pass a level, it shows your best time for that level. Once you pass all the possible tracks, the Black Mamba Racer will race you herself! Sometimes it will be just you and her, other times she might bring a drone, and sometimes she might bring all of them to join the race. The key to racing successfully in this game is learning how to control your skidding and drifting. Once you play, you will notice the car skids a lot during sharp turns, making it nearly impossible to correctly accomplish a turn without hitting a wall, obstacle, or even another racer! My strategy is to stay on the outside of the turn and start the drift before I get to the turn, so the effect of the skid forces me to perfectly curve around the turn. Phew! That was a mouthful! Anyways, Black Mamba Racer is in the App Store right now for the low price of $1.99, but if you want to test it out before you buy it, they also have a Black Mamba Lite which is free. I recommend this game to any true gamer who loves racing games and challenging games that require strategy.
