Available In: App Store | Price: $99.99 |
TomTom’s application has finally hit the App Store. The app is available for the US & Canada, Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The cost of the app varies based on which location you need it for. The US & Canada compatible version of the application is $99.99.. see the list below for additional pricing options.
The application is compatible with both the iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS. The app boasts turn-by-turn directions as well as many other features (see list below). Honestly, it seems to have the same functionality as a regular TomTom device. Check out the screenshots and demo videos below.
TomTom has also has a car kit for the iPhone which “offers secure docking, enhanced GPS performance, clear voice instructions and hands-free calling, while charging your iPhone at the same time.” The kit is not yet available on TomTom’s website. There are also rumors that you will be able to purchase a full “package” which would include the car kit and the application (at a reduced price). This also has not appeared yet on TomTom’s website yet but, we will keep our eye out for it.

Detailed map seamlessly covers the US and Canada with IQ Routes™ data for faster routing.
There is an app Copilot live for $34.99 available in the App store. I think it does all that Tim Tom can do for a lot less. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Sorry. Tom Tom not Tim Tom.
haha!!!
that is correct although i have Copilot ..navigon..and igo..and the navigon gives the fastest most acurate route of all of them..will be checking out tom tom soon..and igo finds your gps location the fastest..
Don’t about this. I have the stand alone Tom Tom and my navizon beats tit with the interface and user functions. I think I am staying with the navigon so much better and cheaper.
have u guys seen the memory downside… its 1.21GB!! nope ill stick with maps app
Sounds like a useful app. No one is going to be buying GPS units anymore.
xGPS is good, i mean, very good if you have a jailbreak iPhone
