According to info from some Dev Team members, new iPhone 3GS models are coming with an updated bootrom version 359.3.2. The current exploit, 24kpwn, is not working on iPhone 3GS models with this bootrom. We’ll know more and more as people buy iPhones but beware if you are buying a new one. Although there is no working jailbreak for this bootrom, hackers have always made it past any roadblocks from Apple and will likely make it past this one eventually. It’s too bad the iPhone is such a nice device to have. Even though Apple is doing so much to control something we pay for ourselves, it’s gonna be extremely hard to ever switch back to a normal phone.
lol i agree…my iphone broke once so i sent it to apple and tried to use another fone…FAIL

Amen to that brotha! Even going back to a non-jailbroken Iphone or ipodtouch is already hard for me lol.

The one phone that comes very close to the iPhone and is completely jailbroken from the factory, is any Android device.
I have the iPhone 3G. Jailbreaking it has made it extremely useful. If this is going to be nearly impossible to do with future iPhones, I guess my next phone will have to be from one of the competitors. If I buy something, I should be able to do what I want with it since I now own it.
