Seek 'n Spell About a month ago, I did a review of an application called Seek ‘n Spell, a real-time GPS-based word building competition. If you recall, I was impressed with the uniqueness of the game and decided to write about it before I even had a copy of it. Well, as of today, it is now available in the App Store. This is most definitly an application that you will want to check out…I personally cant wait to try it out! Below are the description and demo video in case you missed them the first time around.

Seek 'n Spell

Developer Description

“To play Seek ‘n Spell, grab some friends and head outside to the nearest park or other large open space. Start up the game, and your phone will display a map of your location and place letters all around your playing field. Run around to collect the letters, and when your location matches the letter location, you pick up the tile. You can have 10 letters at a time, and the object of the game is to build as many words as you can. The more letters in your words, the more points you get, and the player with the most points at the end of the game wins.”

Comments

  1. This would be A LOT cooler if you could put the letters wherever you want and do sort of a city wide hunt.

  2. downloading it as we speak
    im excited woo

  3. Actually, this is perfect in the park…afterall, the idea is to run or walk around to get some excercise. We played the day it became available in the app store – my favorite part of the game is when you realize another player is going for the same letter tile that you want…and you bascially have to race them to get there first.
Ah, sweet victory…this is the most fun I’ve had in awhile.
