Backgrounder Update

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

Backgrounder When I saw an update to Backgrounder, a mod that allows apps to run in the background, I was like…YES! I thought we were going to get some of the old features back but, the update just fixes a bug in which some apps were not restoring properly. I know, I was totally bummed too. I could really use the SpringBoard badge that indicates when an app is running…I have a feeling I have left a few running on accident! You can get Backgrounder via the BigBoss source.

I use backgrounder a lot to keep running my Skype and Fring (MSN app), it works great, despite the lack of memory from my iPhone 3G. Hopefully it would work greater in the new iPhone 3GS that has double of memory.

Yes in 2G and 3G memory is an issue. Isn’t there any way to use some memory out of 8 or 16gb storage we have as RAM.

  3. Micah says:

Brooke, can’t you just use the Processes toggle in SB Settings to see what you have left open?

  4. mogwai says:

Brook, try using mQuickDo to see what apps you accidentally left running.

  5. Guy says:

    Love this app.
