Many of you may already be familiar with the iComplete theme however, it has been revamped and released as iComplete 3. The name says it all… iComplete is an extrememly complete theme that contains a mod for just about everything. TaskList – Simple List of All Running Processes

TaskList is an application that when open, gives you a list of everything that is running on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Nothing fancy, just a textual list of processes that is running. iSummer Theme – WinterBoard Theme (SBSettings Theme)

iSummer is a nice WinterBoard theme that contains slides, a dock, status bar, badges, dialer, pop-up mod, wallpaper, 64 icons…etc. It is a dark theme but, it is well designed. I did notice that the theme folder has an icons2 folder with more icons in it. So, if you are ssh savvy, you can ssh into the Library/Theme/iSummer 2.0/icons2 folder and copy out all the icons and add them to the Library/Themes/iSummer 2.0/Icons folder. This theme also has a matching SBSettings theme. You can get both the iSummer Theme and the iSummer SBS Theme via the BigBoss source. Read more

vWallpaper (video wallpaper application) and SkrewCommom for Firmware 3.0

Some of you might remember the app vWallpaper, an application that enables video wallpapers. I honestly haven’t written about the app is quite some time however, people are wondering if it has been updated for the 3.0 firmware yet. A few days ago, the developer released a beta version of both SkrewCommon (a code app that is needed in order to run vWallpaper) and vWallpaper. It is a manually install and there are a few bugs still such as; the device will not go into sleep mode and sometimes the video wallpaper will not restart after closing an application. Backgrounder Update

When I saw an update to Backgrounder, a mod that allows apps to run in the background, I was like…YES! I thought we were going to get some of the old features back but, the update just fixes a bug in which some apps were not restoring properly. I know, I was totally bummed too. I could really use the SpringBoard badge that indicates when an app is running…I have a feeling I have left a few running on accident! You can get Backgrounder via the BigBoss source. Read more

Backgrounder Updated – Firmware 3.0 Compatible

Backgrounder, a mod that allows applications to run in the background, has been updated to version svn.r247. This version of Backgrounder is for firmware 3.0 and above. If you are on 2.2.1 or below make sure you DO NOT upgrade. The update also only enables the basic backgrounder feature…there are no extra features at this time. The developer says it will take some time to get the features working on the 3.0 firmware.

Guitar Collection v1 is wallpaper pack that contains 14 guitar inspired wallpapers. It is a pretty random variety of wallpapers…it including more abstract imagines, photos, animated and artsy images of guitars. Below are screenshots of all 14 wallpapers that the pack contains. You can get Guitar Collection v1 via the MacCiti source. Also, when you install this wallpaper pack, the wallpapers are added to your stock Settings application under Wallpapers.

Well, that is what I get for going on a “no bias” streak and posting about a car wallpaper pack…they release another one the next day! So, in order to keep my no bias streak I now bring you BMW Collection v1! This wallpaper pack includes 13 BMW inspired wallpapers. Smoog Theme – Background for WeatherIcon Mod

It seems that quite a few themes have been getting updated lately to accommodate both the LiveClock and WeatherIcon mods. One theme that I have always been a fan of has received one of these updates! You are now able to install a weather icon for the Smoog theme (via BigBoss) that supports the WeatherIcon mod. The title of the package is Smoog Weather Icon Background and it is available via the david.ashman.com source. If you are also a fan of the LiveClock mod, you can choose the Live lock Dark option in WinterBoard and it looks decent with the theme as well. Though, I would love to see another update that adds an icon that is actually compatible with the LiveClock mod. Read more

Backgrounder svn.r10-2 – Allows Apps to Run in Background

Backgrounder is “A Mobile Substrate-based extension that allows applications to run in the background.” Basically it is an application (similar to Insomnia) that allows applications to run in the background…meaning after you close the application it will continue to run.

When you install Backgrounder, you will not get an icon on your SpringBoard…it is just a code application. To enable Backgrounder, open the application that you would like to run in the background then press and hold the Home Button. You will get a quick pop-up saying, Read more

iAwake2 2.0

iAwake2 is an application similar to insomnia. When iAwake2 it toggled on, it allows applications to continue to run in the background using both WiFi and Edge. When you tap on the icon on your SpringBoard, it will open to a splash-screen and then close back to the SpringBoard. However, you will notice that it puts a little On badge on the icon. This means that it will now allow applications to run in the background. To turn it off, just tap the icon again which will open it to the splash-screen and close back to the SpringBoard. vWallpaper 0.9

The updated to version 0.9 of vWallpaper adds a new option to the Settings menu: Videos repository. This gives you the ability to add a repository to the applications. It automatically comes with the Skrew video repository however, it does have the ability to add your own source to the list. Just use the + button in the upper right corner.

Apple iPhone School has created a repo that you can add to vWallpapers that will contain all the vwallpapers from vWallpapers.com. Right now, the repo has three wallpapers in it; Green Tunnel, Mario Brothers and Red and Blue Clouds (see videos below). The files are titled AIS_file name, that way you are able to easily distinguish between our vWallpapers and other vWallpapers. We will be adding quite a few more in the near future. Note: This is not an installer repo, this repo will only work in the vWallpapers application. Do not try to add it as a source in Installer!
