TamWalls [3] – Wallpaper Pack

TamWalls [3] is a wallpaper pack that contains 20 wallpapers. The pack does seem to be mostly made up mostly of landscapes or animal images though there are some very random ones thrown in there (see screenshots below). The wallpapers were chosen by Tamara, hence the title of the pack. Remember, when you install this wallpaper pack, the wallpapers are added to your stock Settings application under Wallpapers. iSummer Theme – WinterBoard Theme (SBSettings Theme)

iSummer is a nice WinterBoard theme that contains slides, a dock, status bar, badges, dialer, pop-up mod, wallpaper, 64 icons…etc. It is a dark theme but, it is well designed. I did notice that the theme folder has an icons2 folder with more icons in it. So, if you are ssh savvy, you can ssh into the Library/Theme/iSummer 2.0/icons2 folder and copy out all the icons and add them to the Library/Themes/iSummer 2.0/Icons folder. This theme also has a matching SBSettings theme. You can get both the iSummer Theme and the iSummer SBS Theme via the BigBoss source. Read more

vWallpaper (video wallpaper application) and SkrewCommom for Firmware 3.0

Some of you might remember the app vWallpaper, an application that enables video wallpapers. I honestly haven’t written about the app is quite some time however, people are wondering if it has been updated for the 3.0 firmware yet. A few days ago, the developer released a beta version of both SkrewCommon (a code app that is needed in order to run vWallpaper) and vWallpaper. It is a manually install and there are a few bugs still such as; the device will not go into sleep mode and sometimes the video wallpaper will not restart after closing an application. Guitar Collection v1 – Wallpaper Pack

Guitar Collection v1 is wallpaper pack that contains 14 guitar inspired wallpapers. It is a pretty random variety of wallpapers…it including more abstract imagines, photos, animated and artsy images of guitars. Below are screenshots of all 14 wallpapers that the pack contains. Well, that is what I get for going on a “no bias” streak and posting about a car wallpaper pack…they release another one the next day! As I was looking over this wallpaper pack, I was thinking…I don’t normally write about wallpaper packs that have a specific theme. Then I realized that I always write about Nature wallpaper packs and that technically is a theme! So, out of fear of being too bias, I bring you Audi Collection v1. This is a collection of Audi Wallpapers. The collection contains 16 decent wallpapers…a few are pretty nice, a few are ok. Aue Nature is a wallpaper pack that contains 12 nature scene wallpapers. The pack includes a few decent wallpapers… you can check out screenshot of all the wallpapers below (that way you know if you want to install the pack or not). Aue Nature is available via the MacCiti source. Remember, if you like a few of the wallpapers from the pack you can always install it and then delete the ones you do not want off your iPhone or iPod Touch. They are located in the Library/Wallpaper folder.

WinterBoard Themes – Themes, Key Highlight Mods and a Wallpaper Pack

I’m still catching up on all the themes/mods that have been released lately. But, I got through another section of them and below are a few I thought I would mention. There are 4 themes, 3 key highlight mods and one wallpaper pack. The four themes include; Pump (via Sleepers.net), CLoud9 (via BigBoss), Abeo Alistair (via MacCiti) and Flat (via MacCiti). The key highlight mods will change the color of the keys on the keyboard when you select them. The three shown in the screenshots below include; Purple and Pink Highlight Keys, Camo Highlight Keys and Red and Black Highlight Keys…all of which are available through the Sleepers.net source. I actually really like key highlight mods…it is so weird to see a different color when you type! The wallpaper pack, MoMa Pack 1 (via MacCiti) contains eight unique wallpapers. WinterBoard Mods – Theme, Keyboards and Wallpaper Packs

I’m still trying to get caught up on all the mods that were released this week-end. After looking through quite a few of them (though, I still have quite a few left), here are a few I thought were worth mentioning. The first is a theme, iComplete via BigBoss. The title really does explain the theme…it is very complete. It mods almost every part of your iPhone or iPod Touch including, wallpaper, icons, battery, UI images, dialer…etc. There is also a match SMBSettings theme as well. The next mods are keyboard mods. Macbook White KeyBoard, via BigBoss, and Neutra Keys, via modmyi, both theme your stock keyboard (see screenshots below). All three of the mods mentioned above are activated through WinterBoard. The last two apps are wallpaper packs…both vDay and Changing Times are available via the MacCiti source. Read more

MacCiti Wallpaper Packs – Including Screenshots

I recently wrote an article about the themes that are currently available via the MacCiti source. Because the MacCiti source is primarily a themeing source, it also includes a few wallpaper packs. I’m always torn when it comes to wallpaper packs…they are an easy way to get wallpapers onto your iPhone or iPod Touch giving you more modding ability but, I don’t always want to install them because I don’t know what all the wallpapers look like or if I even want all the wallpapers in the pack. So, I thought I would make things a little easier on you and show you what is in each of the four wallpaper packs currently available in the MacCiti source. The four wallpaper packs include; TamsWalls, MacCiti Wallpaper Pack, MacCiti Aura and GH Wallpaper Pack.

Backgrounds

Backgrounds is the number one free application right now in the App Store. So, I decided to see what all the fuss was about! Backgrounds is an application that allows you to easily look through wallpapers and add them your iPhone or iPod Touch.

When you open Backgrounds, you will see a upper menu bar with three options; Popular, Recent and Category. The Popular option will display the most popular wallpapers, the Recent option will display recently added wallpaper and the Category option will give you a list of categories for the wallpapers. You can scroll through the wallpapers by using the arrow at the bottom of the page. Once you have found a wallpaper that you like, select it. This will open a page with that wallpaper. From there you can save the wallpaper to your iPhone or iPod Touch or you can report the wallpaper. If you select Save, you will get a pop-up saying that the wallpaper has been saved…if you select Ok, you will be brought back to where you left off in the wallpapers. If you would like to report the wallpaper, scroll down and select Report Background. You are then given a few options for the reason why you are reporting the wallpaper.
