Bliss – WinterBoard Theme

Bliss is a WinterBoard theme that contains 100 icons, wallpaper, sliders, badges, dock, lock screen battery and a few other UI mods. The thing I like about this theme is it’s subtleness. The icons are simple, clean and easy to look at. The other UI mods are subtle but enough of a change to feel like your device has been modded.

With all the things I like about this theme there are a few things I do not like… there is no Messages icon. So, I ssh’d into the Library/Themes/Bliss.theme/Icons folder and changed one of the other icons to the Messages icon (just change any of them to say Messages.png). Also, the wallpaper is set as individual pages which means if you go over nine pages, it will use your own wallpaper for the rest of your pages. This also keeps you from being able to change the wallpaper by selecting the “User Wallpaper” option in WinterBoard. So, to remedy this, I ssh’d into the Library/Themes/Bliss.theme folder and changed the Page 0.png to Wallpaper.png and deleted Page 1.png through Page 9.png. This will still allow you to set the background that comes with the theme however, it will also allow you the ability to change the wallpaper using “User Wallpaper”.

I know, some of you are thinking…. why can’t this theme just work without all the ssh’ing… and technically it does (without a Messages icon). However if you are like me, and love to mod your device, this one has a few things that you can easily mod to make it a little better.

You can get Bliss via the modmyi source.

How to Install a Theme:

1. Your device must be jailbroken. (how?)
2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the modmyi source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for Bliss in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate the Bliss Theme.

  1. Dialer keypad from matte ui?!

  2. It seems I can’t change the background image at all (stuck on the default aperture green hills). Is there anyway to get around this? Running 4.1 ipod touch.
