WeatherIcon Over the week-end WeatherIcon, a mod that displays the current temperature and weather conditions in the Weather icon, received two updates. The first, version 2.2.5, made the application compatible with the 3.1 firmware… which I know many of you have been waiting for! The second update, version 2.2.6, fixed a bug that when you turned the weather icon part of the mod off in the Settings, the Weather icon would go blank. Below is the exact change log.

Change Log:
2.2.6
- Fixed issue where weather icon went blank is the icon is turned off in the Settings.

2.2.5
- Fixed safe mode crashed in 3.1
Note: Due to some odd 3.1 dpkg behavior, I had to remove the LockInfo WeatherIcon theme from this package so that I could get the fix out as fast as possible. I will release the theme separately.

Earlier this summer after updating WeatherIcon, my status bar image and application icon image stopped working. Regardless of whether it’s toggled on or off, the only things that works is the status bar temperature. Anyone have any ideas about why this has happened or how to fix it?

    Hi, nice little feature.
I would like to know if i can change the weatherservice to yr.no instead of Yahoo.

To change the weatherservice to yr.no just go to /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.ashman.WeatherIcon.plist and change the ‘WeatherBundleIdentifier’ from “com.apple.weather” (or whatever) to “com.polleo.yrno”. This assuming that you have the yr.no application installed.
