Jacob’s Jailbreaking 1.1.3 Experience

After receiving Doug’s enthusiastic text announcing the Jailbreak for 1.1.3, and his live-blogging, I decided I had to give it a shot too.

First off, I went and got Nate True’s new version of iBrickr, which comes in a zip file. Extracted all the contents of that zip to a easy-to-find folder on my desktop. Opened that folder and ran iBrickr.exe. [Read more…]

New App – ColloQ

ColloQColloQ is available through Installer.app from the ModMyIfone.com source. This is a fan update by mBranes of the ModMyiFone.com community of the original Colloquy app. ColloQ is an IRC client for the iPhone, allowing users to connect to any IRC channel directly from their iPhone. mBranes has taken the open sourced Colloquy app and fixed many bugs and added some great features. New App – iSpit 1.5

iSpit This new app is available through Installer.app from the Robota source. To start off I should mention this app will not open if you cannot connect to the internet (like when I’m at work with no edge/wifi connection). That being said, this is a very nifty http server that runs from your iPhone, and allows you to view the contents of your iPhone and download saved media (ie. photos, movies taken with Showtime, etc.) [Read more…]
