Lockdown – Password Protect Your Applications

Lockdown Lockdown, is an application that allows you to password protect other applications (stock, App Store and jailbroke) on your iPhone or iPod Touch. I haven’t done a review of this Lockdown since it was first released. However, I received an email saying that it has been updated and is now working with the 3.0 firmware (which it is).

The UI of the app has changed a little since my first review of the app but, other than that…it is basically the same. You are able to password protect stock, App Store and jailbroke apps that are on your device. A few of the new features I noticed is a Locked Apps option which allows you to quickly view all the apps that are locked, instead of having to scroll through the list of them to find which ones are locked. Lockdown 2.0

Lockdown Lockdown is an application that allows you to password protect applications on your iPhone. When you first open the application you will get a screen asking you to enter a safety word that will be used in the event that you lose forget your password. Once you have entered your safety word, you will then get a screen where you will need to enter the master password, this can be changed in the application. When you have entered your master password, you will be brought to the main screen of the application. Here you will see the options; Change Password, Show All Applications, Lock This Application, Use my Default.png and Forgot Password.

The Change Password option allows you to change your master password. If you select Show all Applications, you will get a list of all stock apps and application you have installed via Cydia.
