Lockitron – Unlock Your House Doors With Your iPhone

I would love to have this iPhone accessory that allows you to unlock your home’s front door from your iPhone. I live in a condo so I have to park in a parking lot and then help my 3 kids into the house while carrying all sorts of things. It would be so nice to just open the door from my phone before I get out of the car. Or of course when friends come over and I don’t want to get up from my xBox game. LockInfo Update – Fixes Crashing Problem

LockInfo has received a quick update to version 2.3.9.0. The update will hopefully fix the issue that some people were having with their device locking up when using version 2.3.8.24 of LockInfo on iOS 4.2.1. I can’t test the fix since I’m not on 4.2.1 but, if you give it a shot, let us know in the comments if the update worked for you. I also want to thank David Ashman (the developer of LockInfo) for once again quickly updating his app… good job David! :)

Element – Lock Screen Mod Coming Soon

Element is a lock screen mod that began as a concept and has turned into the real thing. Since it began as a concept back in September, there hasn’t been much to tell, but it seems that that one and only Jay Freeman (better known as saurik) is helping to make this thing happen. So, it’s time to get the information rolling. According to a recent tweet (see below), a beta of the lock screen mod will hit Cydia next week.

I don’t know about you guys but, I would love to have the perfect lock screen mod! I’m currently using LockInfo and like it. I can’t wait to check out Element… it looks like it is going to be pretty sweet.

Clock Plugin for LockInfo adds the current Date, Time and Calendar into the LockInfo lock screen mod.
Once installed, the option is added into the stock Settings application under the LockInfo option. In the LockInfo option you have the ability to turn on/off the Clock plugin itself and the Collapse by Default option. Once you have turned on the Clock plugin the current day of the week, month, date and time will display on your lock screen. If you tap on the Clock bar on the lock screen, it will display the current month calendar.

SpringLocker is a hack that allows you to turn off the ability to move the icons on your SpringBoard.
Once the app is installed, it is added in the stock Settings application. The only option the app has is the ability to turn the Lock Icons option on or off. If you turn the Lock Icons option On… it will turn off the ability to rearrange the icons on your SpringBoard.
When you turn ON Lock Icons, your icons will no longer go into “wiggle mode.” If you tap and hold an icon on your SpringBoard, it will not start to wiggle and will not be able to be moved instead the application will launch as if you tapped on it and did not tap and hold it.

Lockscreen Dim Delay is an application that allows you to choose the amount of time before your lock screen turns off. Once Lockscreen Dim Delay is installed, it is added into your stock Settings application. Here you can choose a dim delay anywhere from 1 second to 60 seconds. Lockdown, is an application that allows you to password protect other applications (stock, App Store and jailbroke) on your iPhone or iPod Touch. I haven’t done a review of this Lockdown since it was first released. However, I received an email saying that it has been updated and is now working with the 3.0 firmware (which it is).
The UI of the app has changed a little since my first review of the app but, other than that…it is basically the same. You are able to password protect stock, App Store and jailbroke apps that are on your device. A few of the new features I noticed is a Locked Apps option which allows you to quickly view all the apps that are locked, instead of having to scroll through the list of them to find which ones are locked. Encrypto is an application that allows you to hide images that are in your Camera Roll. When you open Encrypto, you will need to choose a passkey. You will want to remember your passkey because the next time you open the app, you will have to enter it.
Once in the application, you have three options on the lower menu bar; the main page, the help page and the import page. On the main page you will see all the photos from your Camera Roll. It automatically pulls in all your photos however, it will not pull in any screenshots that are in your Camera Roll. I personally like that it only pulls in photos and not screenshots.
