MotionDrum is a pretty cool drum simulator. The thing that makes this application unique is how you play the drums. Instead of just tapping buttons on the screen, the applications takes advantage of the built-in accelerometer. You are able to easily play four percussion instruments by moving your iPhone up, down, left and right.

The app contains 40 different instruments to choose from ranging from three different bass drums options to a shaker to a three different varieties of a Tom. The set-up process is quick and easy… just choose which instrument you would like for each of the four motions (down, up, left and right) then select the volume and the sensitivity for each motion.

Aera is casual flight simulator that everyone will enjoy. It introduces a unique mix of side-scroller and flight simulator. The game as contains many play modes including; Campaign, QuickGame and Missions.

There are three types of missions; solo/aerobatic, dogfight and race. As you progresss in the Campaign mode, you unlock new planes and advance to new locations which can then be used in the QuickGame mode. Additionally, there is a FreeFlight mode which allows you to relax and just enjoy your plane and the view. Each mission you play can be watched afterwards in KINO (playback mode) – you can pause, rotate camera to look at different angles, fast-forward, etc. The game also contains a step-by-step tutorial and three difficulty levels. iDrums is a drum simulation application. Once installed and opened, it displays a basic drum set. You can then tap the drums and symbols to get a audio simulation of that instrument. The sound is actually pretty decent. Though, I have no idea how to play drums so those of you who do will have to let me know if they really sound good or not!
