which one is better? iblacklist or Mcleaner
That has been my question for the last 2 weeks.

I have used all 3 and I find that iBlacklist is the most stabe amongst them…
mcleaner, the setting to hang up a call or ignore a call does not work, the calls are blocked, but the caller is still able to leave voice message and also SMS message, i have been e-mailing them for three weeks now, and the person seems like he can’t speak english, keeps asking what is the problem and i have e-mailed him the issues 4 TIMES!! i told him the soft ware does not hang up the call or ignore the call. That is when i get a e-mail asking what is the problem THREE TIMES, iblacklist works, but i am still working with it, calls are blocked and busy signal works, but SMS are still geting through. give me a min.
I used iblacklist before, sometimes it blocks number that’s not on the block list, but the ‘send to busy signal’ option works. Mcleaner’s ‘hang up’ option does not work when selected, it keeps sending the calls to vmail, even though it doesn ring the phone.
IBLACKLIST SUCKS…………. I PAID THEM THE MONEY AND THEY NEVER SENT ME THE ACTIVATION KEY.. I HAVE BEEN SENDING THEM EMAILS AND THE GUYS NEVER ANSWER….
i to have had problems with iblack service people…after installing iblack to my iphone, my phone has been acting strange, very slow, call log problems, voice mall & incoming call problems, calls were going straight into my voice mail & other strange tech problems, went to my local cell service guys & they deleted iblack & now my iphone is back to normal, these problems occurred 1 day after i installed iblack…so not all phones react the same to certain software…I’m asking for a full refund…
What about PYSL 0.91 wich one its better from this 3.

iBlacklist is much more stable.
i forgot to restart when i enabled it and now its stuck on the apple sign??? how do i fix this??
Use SSH and delete iBlasklist under Applications. Hold the home and on/off button till iPhone reboots. you should be able to get Iphone back up and running.
i had the same problem and i had to restore my iphone ;(((
Hi, I’m trying to uninstall iblacklist 1.9.1 and I keep getting main execution script failed error, but it seems that is only with this program as I can install and uninstall others. Please advise

I like the product. However I was fairly amazed when I went to the company website. In order to buy the product, instead of simply listing a email address to paypal the money directly to them, they wanted me to enter my paypal email address and password directly into their site. No way in the world……Think they are a bit confused over website security for paypal. I am awaiting a reply back from them.

I too am curious about the payment for this app. 8 bucks is a good deal. Still wondering if Mcleaner is better though
I’m not sure how you would define better since both programs do the same thing. Try them both and make a decision based upon what you like. The options for MCleaner is easier to understand IMO although I do use iBlacklist.

I can confirm that I made payment and got my code via email a day later. After making payment via paypal I sent a copy of the receipt to the developer to speed up the process.
It’s a great program and $8 is a great price as most of us spend more money on a starbucks coffee.
I installed this app and worked fine. Only one prob tho. I uninstalled it and found out my video wallpaper no longer works. Not really sure how to fix this yet. I tried installing/uninstalling them both but no luck. Any ideas???

Well i had SMSD app installed previously.Later i installed the iBlacklist app but it does not function .Can anyone tell me whether iBlackList works with SMSD app or not?I need to hide certain SMS conversations from both the SMSD app and the MobileSMS original app.Or is there any solution to this i mean a workaround?

in the “extras” section of the app, here are the instructions from the iBlacklist website:
“- Call Privacy – This disables the popup of missed calls on your lock screen.
– SMS Privacy – This disables all types of notifications about missed SMS’s, including the popups.”
My question is whether these setting apply only to those numbers/calls filtered by the app, or if turning the settings on will eliminate all pop-up notifications about missed calls/SMS’s? The only pop-ups I want to eliminate are those for filtered numbers. The rest are quite useful. Any help?

Does iBlacklist work on the new 3G iPhones?
if so how do you load it> Has anyone got Installer 4.0 beta to work with this – I think this is required to access the source on a 3G iPhone

i just updated the iblacklist and it messed up my phone.. did anyone else update thiers too and is there a solution to it? because now it goes back to the apple symbol like when it restarts, and there is a spinning cog now. so if theres any way i could fix this, please help me out..
I encounter problem with my iphone and I restored it, however, after I restored it, I have problem installed back IBlacklist , i received prompt message of “Main script execution failed!” …I can find the icon but unable to un-install it. Can anyone advise?
Had no problems with iBlacklist for some time until I upgraded to the new version. I then also got the spinning cog which stayed on the screen. The only thing I could do was to reset the phone by hoding both buttons, and uninstall, then re-install the application from scratch… New version worked correctly then. Apart from this issue, have been very impressed with the app, no complaints.
I have just installed this App and it does not seem to have affected my phone, my issue is that it seems very complicated to set up or am i just being dense? when i try to enter a contact to block (SMS) it takes me back to my home page and i have to start again, am i mising something really obvous here, has anyone else had this problem whilst setting up, please help as i think this is a great idea and would love to be able to use.

BJ996 – Agree with you, does not work and further more it is too COMPLICATED to use, have used ACM on a nokia, worked wonderfully well – I heard Mcleaner is pretty good and on the face of it looks like ACM, this iBlacklist does not have divert call to a specific number, unless i am missing something, Bottom line is it should be easy and quickly used. when is iblacklist coming out for 2.0 firmware with out bugs, becuase on 1.1.4 if the blacklist number called consecutive time back to back to back to back the number will glitch through and the phone will ring!!!!! which is not good at all?????? ANYONE KNOW!!!!!!

Could someone please advise what “SSH” is? Do you delete IPhone applications from your laptop (with Iphone connected) or directly from the IPhone??

Are applications like iBlacklist only available on jailbroken phones because you can not program apps to do what they do on a regular iPhone? In other words, can you not write code to access or filter incoming calls or texts on a non-jailbroken iPhone?

Ihave version 3.1.2 on my phone. I installed the app with no problem- I setup a BL contact and it filters it so I dont hear/see it ringing however the call still goes to voicemail even though I have it set to busy signal. has anyone else seen this?

Yeah, I bought this product then not three weeks later, broke my iphone physically. I’ve sent them at least three emails with my new Serial number and they are just blatantly ignoring me and won’t let me activate the phone on my new number.
They’ll take your money but sure won’t give you any support.

tried this does not work well.I tried to protect by password and I can’t input password because I have not access to the complete keyboard.and i have to dig inside the config files because uninstall/reinstall/reset/power off does not clear the ini files…
Have been using this app since last week. Setting up was a bit confusing but after a few attempts managed to work out the settings. Now it works just fine. Great application ! Does a good job.
i purchased iBlacklist a few months ago after being harassed by these random 11 digit “252” numbers that would call me 10+ times a day and a person would go “hello? hello?” with a dog barking in the back and would not respond when i demanded to know who was calling and then hang up. i have a feeling this is voice recording of some sort and a scam to try to get people to pick up or something…since i’ve got iblacklist, i havent been harassed by these calls. and if a new number comes in, i just add in to the list. its definitely worth the purchase, since most phone companies charge you a monthly fee anyway to block numbers and at least this one you can manage on your own. im very pleased with the product despite being skeptical at first.

With IBlacklist… can someone tell me what happens when someone on your blacklist sends you text message?? What kind of notification do you receive and what kind of notification do they revceive?
How do you find calls made to people on the IBlacklist of someone else’s iphone phone?
When you have this for a non-jailbroken iPhone 4, I’ll buy it immediately. I’d gladly pay $20 for it on a non-jailbroken iPhone.
why not just jailbreak the iphone? Apparently it’s the best thing you could do as long as you have Cydia. But I have a question for someone/anyone… Is is true that you can hide the numbers dialled or missed from your normal call log? Same thing for texts. Can you separate the texts that you don’t want people to see in your ordinary phone ‘inbox’ and keep them stored separately??
