Dactyl Now in App Store

Many of you will probably think this application looks very familiar! Well, that is because it was a jailbreak app from 1.1.4 and below. Check out the old school version HERE. It was not released with the upgrade to the 2.0 firmware (as a jailbreak app) but, you can get it via the App Store! The graphics have been nicely updated and there are a few more options now.

When you open Dactyl, you will notice three options on the upper menu bar. The first option allows you to turn High Score on/off and give you the ability to clear the High Scores. The middle options allows you to turn the sound on or off…just tap the volume icon to do so. The final option allow the top of the app is play option which will start the game. Dactyl 0.02

Version 0.02 of Dactyl makes a few changes to the app. The background color of the app has been changed from tan to blue. There are also sound effects now and when you miss a bomb…it explodes. I’m not big on sounds effects but, if you are…they are now available! Other than that, the app functions the same as in the previous version. The mole skin for this app (by iSpazio) works with version 0.02 of Dactyl as well. Dactyl is available through the ModMyiFone.com source.

Mole – Dactyl Skin 1.1

Oh my goodness, this is the cutest thing I have ever seen! Mole – Dactyl Skin is a skin for the Dactyl game. So, instead of bombs, you have to tap on gophers! It even changes the icon to be a little gopher icon (ok, I technically think it is supposed to be a mole but gophers are cuter!). Dactyl 0.01

Ok, have your ever played that game at an arcade where you have to bop the gophers on the head with the malate thing. Well, Dactyl soooo reminds me of that game!! The object of the game it to tap the bombs when they turn red, to keep them from exploding. When the apps opens, you will see 12 bombs. To start playing, tap New Game. You then need to tap on each bomb when it turns red. More then one bomb will turn red at a time and they go pretty quick so, be ready! As soon as you miss a bomb, it will “explode” and will display the total number of bombs you defused before it exploded. This is definitely a simple app at the moment.
