Last night we stood in a line for 5 hours for a new iPhone 6S. We were already planning on buying it and saw that if we bought it at Target we would receive a $250 Target gift card. We ended up standing in line longer than we hoped but with only one register for cell phone sales and slow responses from cell phone carriers we where there until about 3:00am. We got an iPhone 6S 64GB in space grey. I also got offered 10% off an Apple Watch at the end of the sale. They are having a lot more promotions on Apple products that run through Saturday, November 28th, 2015. Check them out here: target.com [Read more…]

Pay at Starbucks (in Target) With Your iPhone
The Starbucks app is pretty kewl but since this amazing mockup nothing compares. The ultimate Starbucks app is like the one linked to above. It needs the ability to create your order, send it to the store and then be able to either pay right from the app or have them scan your iPhone.
Currently there are two iPhone apps by Starbucks. One is called myStarbucks and it lets you find locations, explore whole bean coffees, find nutrition information, and build perfect drinks. The other app is called Starbucks Card Mobile which, for most people, only let you see your card balance, until now. Previously Starbucks was testing this app in 16 stores located in Silicon Valley and Seattle but now they have opened it up to over 1,000 of their stores located in Target stores. We’ll have to test it out the next time we’re at Target! Here’s a store locator map that will show you what stores are participating in your area: starbucks.com/store-locator

iPod Touch Deals for Black Friday
Many store will have deals on the iPod Touch tomorrow. It looks like Apple won’t let them discount the device so stores are giving away gift cards with purchase. Most deals do not allow you to use card toward the purchase of the iPod Touch. Here are the deals I can find. If you find any others, please feel free to share it in the comments.

Verizon Droid Ad Specifically Target iPhone
I know you guys may have already seen this, but it’s one of those things I just have to write about. Last week, Verizon launched an ad that targeted the iPhone and AT&T however, that ad (There’s an Map for That), doesn’t attack the iPhone as obviously as Verizon’s new Droid ad does. The new ad is titled iDon’t and points out all the features the iPhone does not have in which the Droid does.
It seems that Verizon is taking a very pointed and specific marketing strategy… make the iPhone look bad. Even the Droid’s website is playing up the theme. Check it out HERE.
You can view both ads below.

Target Application – Easy and Fun Way to Find Gift Ideas!
Available In: App Store | Price: Free |
Ok, I might be slightly bias about this application because I love Target and do a ton of shopping there but, I really like their new application! It is basically an application that gives you gift ideas based on a person’s gender and age.
When you open the app, you will get a nice loading screen and then the main screen (with some cheery jiggle bells that only last a second or two). Ok, from here you will notice the option to choose whether the person you are choosing a gift for is male or female and then you can slide the age bar until you have the age range that person falls into. Once you have selected the gender and age of the person, give your iPhone a little shake. This will bring up a gift suggestion. It will display the title of the gift and the cost of the gift. If it looks like a gift you would like to consider, tap the screen. This will bring up a menu with the options to; add that gift to your favorites, find that gift at a Target store, buy the gift at Target.com, start your search over and Cancel.
