Siri vs. Cortana – Happy Anniversary (Commercial)

I’ve recently been seeing this commercial from Microsoft about their Siri competitor, Cortana. Although I’m pretty sure I’ll never buy a phone from Microsoft (And I know no one that has one), this feature is really nice. Now I’m not sure how it works in real world scenarios but this seems impressive. Like Google Now, it adapts to your schedule, location, traffic and other information to make your life easier. Apple is behind on this one. There are location based tasks and Siri is really good at what it does but it doesn’t really seem to be getting much better lately. It needs to take a real leap to get ahead. What do you think? Also, according to the comments, the real Cortana voice doesn’t sound like that. [Read more…]

AT&T Commercials – AT&T: By Numbers, Headless and Marbles

##ICON_NAME## AT&T has recently released a few more commercials. Two of them are the typical Luke Wilson commercials comparing AT&T to Verizon and third (released today) gives statistics on AT&T’s overall network… it’s a little boring but, it does have some interesting numbers.

AT&T Commercials:

The AT&T/Verizon Vengeance Continues – New Commercials

##ICON_NAME## It seems as though AT&T and Verizon are not losing steam on this whole commercial vengeance thing. Both AT&T and Verizon have recently released a new commercial. Verizon is targeting Apple this time around instead of AT&T. It could be in retaliation to the commercials Apple released last week targeting Verizon. The difference is, Apple does it so smoothly and Verizon is tactless.

Either way, I think both Verizon and AT&T’s commercials are slipping in quality. You can check them both out below.

AT&T Releases Two New Commercials Targeting Verizon

##ICON_NAME## You may have seen the first commercial AT&T launched as a direct attack on Verizon. Over the week-end they released a few more commercials targeting Verizon; Two Phones and Postcards (two part commercial). They both are part of the Truth About 3G campaign. Like the first commercial, these ones also star actor Luke Wilson.

Personal Opinion – Two Phones… not too bad, Postcards… lame. Check them out below.

iPhone Commercial: Songs

AppleAnother of Apple’s newest commercials again advertises 100,000+ apps in the app store. One of the apps shown is Shazam which recently released a new version of their app, Shazam Encore, that detects what song is playing and now costs $4.99. The apps in this commercial include: Jamie Oliver’s 20 Minute Meals ($7.99), Credit Card Terminal ($0.99), Facebook (Free), The Sims 3 ($6.99), Redfin Real Estate (Free), Shazam (Free).

Verizon Droid Ad Specifically Target iPhone

##ICON_NAME## I know you guys may have already seen this, but it’s one of those things I just have to write about. Last week, Verizon launched an ad that targeted the iPhone and AT&T however, that ad (There’s an Map for That), doesn’t attack the iPhone as obviously as Verizon’s new Droid ad does. The new ad is titled iDon’t and points out all the features the iPhone does not have in which the Droid does.

It seems that Verizon is taking a very pointed and specific marketing strategy… make the iPhone look bad. Even the Droid’s website is playing up the theme. Check it out HERE.

You can view both ads below.

New iPhone 3G Commercials from Apple

Apple Below are three new commercials that Apple has released for the iPhone 3G. I will say that I’m not overly impressed this time around. They are ok. I’m totally bummed that they changed the theme song. I love the other theme song, it’s so cheerful!
