This free, simple hack allows you to tap the HUD (Heads Up Display) that pops up on your screen when you turn your volume up or down with the volume buttons on the side of your device and it will disappear sooner.
Cydia is starting to get some tweaks and mods for iOS 7 and one of the first ones I’ve tried is ClearFolders.
This app simply makes the background of your folders transparent.

One thing that has always annoyed me is when I have apps in folders and the folder is still open after I close the app. Most of the time I don’t want to go back to that folder after I’m done using the app.
So, this app simply closes the folder automatically as the app opens.
This app goes great with an app called HomePage that scrolls your home screen back to the first page as an app opens so when you close the app you see the first page of your apps. Both apps are free and a great way to customize your device!
BytaFont is a great way to make a huge change to the look of your iPhone.
You can change the fonts of your Dialer, Calculator, Keyboard, Lockscreen Clock, Notes and the entire system.
BytaFont needs to update to get every font working in iOS 6.1 so if you see a couple places where the font hasn’t changed, hopefully there will be an update soon. Here are a couple that I’ve been using latley since I’ve jailbroken my iPhone 5.

ColorClock is a unique mod that allows you to change the color of both the time and the date on your lockscreen. I will say that this mod might not be for everyone. It is based on the RGB color codes and doesn’t have a crazy UI or anything… it’s pretty simple. Once you have installed ColorClock via Cydia, you will find the controls in your stock Settings application. Below is a screenshot of what the controls look like.
Basically, you are creating a color based on RGB decimal color codes. The sliders go in order Red, Green, Blue.
This is a simple app that just changes the “loading…” text under an icon to the percentage number during installation. This app adds no icon and can be turned on and off in the Settings app. [Read more…]
I recently installed a new motorcycle game over the Christmas holiday called “Bike Race”. I have to warn you, this game is highly addictive! The game itself is addicting enough because of the nature of the game. But, what’s even more addicting is the ability to play with others online including your Facebook friends. I currently have several games going with both Facebook friends and random people I’ve met through the game.
The game itself is pretty simple. You steer a motorcycle through a race track viewed from a two-dimensional angle on the side. A game I play on the Xbox called “Trials HD” is a lot like it but this version is not as high graphic. Nevertheless, it’s still as addictive! [Read more…]
There are all kinds of apps the are trying to get in on the Instagram popularity. Many apps are just knockoffs or just plain junk. Cinemagram is not one of those apps. It allows you to create a moving gif image, kind of like a very short video but in a picture format. The kewl thing is, you can have the image loop, go forward & back, or loop backwards. Twitter has recently updated their app with a lot of new features. I’m just going to highlight a few. See the rest at the bottom of this post. The feature I like and have been waiting for is more inline links and images. Twitter calls this “expanded tweets”. The only one I’ve noticed so far is Instagram. Instead of needing to click on the link to see the image, the image is automatically embedded into the tweet. Hopefully YouTube, Foursquare and others are added in the future. If you’re looking for a free, super addicting game for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, check out CSR Racing in the App Store. It’s currently in the top free apps and is the top grossing game. I’ve successfully played the game without buying anything. It’s very doable and still really fun. The game is a drag racing game where you control your start, shifting & when to use your nitro boost. You can use prize money and coins to upgrade your car or buy a new one. [Read more…]
