PrivaCy – Keep App Store Apps From Tracking Your Personal Information

Saurik recently released an application in Cydia called PrivaCy. PrivaCy is an application that allows you to “selectively opt-out of sending anonymous usage statistics” to certain providers such as; Flurry, Medialets, Mobclix and Pinch Media. According to a recent post by the Dev-Team, there is some concern over App Store applications that track the user’s information including; usage and geo location. BillMinder 2.0 – Coming Soon

BillMinder a, feature-packed, personal bill assistant, is being updated to version 2.0. The update includes a nice user interface update as well as some cool new features that are yet to be disclosed. I had a chance to check out version 2.0 of the app and was impressed with the functionality of the app… I think I have finally found the bill organizing app I have been looking for! The app is currently $0.99 and the upgrade to version 2.0 will be free for those who have already purchased the application. Maps Enhancer – Keep Maps Cache and Adjust Zoom Level

Maps Enhancer is an application that adds a few more options to the stock Maps app. Once installed, you can go into your stock Settings applications and you will find MapEnhancer.

The Maps Enhancer app adds the ability to keep your Maps cache and the ability to set the maximum zoom level for Standard, Satellite and Hybrid maps. The zoom levels range from 2 – 19, 2 being zoomed WAY out (I’m talking WAY out!) and 19 being zoomed in. You can also choose to go back to the default zoom setting. [Read more…]

CallCounter – Keep Track of Call Information

CallCounter is an application that allows you to view your call information. This application is very similar to SMSCounter only with call stats instead of SMS stats.

When you open the application, you will get the main screen. Here you have a few options: Date, Call Type, Person and Call Count. The application defaults to one month, all calls (both incoming and outgoing), from everyone and then gives you your total. However, If you select the Period option, you are able to change the To and From date. If you select Message Type, you are able to choose All calls, only Incoming calls or only Outgoing calls. The Person option allows you to choose a specific person. The Count Count displays the hours and minutes you have used based on the options you have selected. [Read more…]
