Pay Off Debt Pay Off Debt is a debt application that helps you to pay off your debts quicker by giving you the option to implement a snowball.

The application allows you to enter information about all of your current debt such as; Name, Type of Debt (Credit Card, Car Loan, Generic Debt, Mortgage/HELOC and Student Loan), Amount Owed (this is the original amount of the debt), Current Balance (what you have left to pay of the debt), Interest Rate (APR), Due Date (due date of the month payment) and the Minimum Monthly Payment.

What I like about that application is that it is quick and easy to enter your debt info… a very user-friendly interface. If you have a lot of debt, it could seem like a daunting task but, it really only takes a few minutes as long as you have the info handy. [Read more…]

Battery Control – Additional Statusbar Battery Options

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

Battery Control Battery Control, an application that allows you to control your Status bar battery image and percentage, was updated. I actually haven’t reviewed this app since it was first released so, I thought I would catch it up since it has had some pretty cool updates.

When the app was first released, it was pretty basic, it only contained a few features… the ability to turn on/off Show Battery and turn on/off Show Percentage. Since then, an Accuracy feature has been added that allows you to choose if you want the accuracy of your battery percentage to be based on the official SDK or based on more accurate battery percentages like SBSettings numeric battery or the default setting. Battery Control – Turn on/off Statusbar Battery Icon and Percentage

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

Battery Control Battery Control is a simple application that allows you to turn on/off the Statusbar battery icon and the Statusbar battery percentage. Once the app is installed, it is added as an option in the stock Settings application. The app gives you two options, turn on/off Show Battery and turn on/off Show Percentage.

A simple application but, I think one of the only that allows you to turn off the battery icon and still leave the battery percentage. Doug like that he can turn off the battery icon and have some additional space on his statusbar. You can get Battery Control via modmyi source.

Rotation Inhibitor Update – Turn off Auto-Rotating Feature

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

Rotation Inhibitor Today there was an update to Rotation Inhibitor, a SBSetting add-on toggle that allows you to turn of the auto-rotate feature on your iPhone or iPod Touch. The update does a few pretty cool things. It adds the Rotation icon for all the default SBSetting’s themes (which is nice!), it fixes a bug in which the keyboard was not working properly in apps that set their “keyboard orientation manually” and it made the app open-source. It update also added a new feature to the toggle that allows you to set which rotation orientation you would like to turn on. [Read more…]

Vibrate Toggle SBSettings Update – Easily Turn on/off Vibrate Feature

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

Vibrate Toggle SBSettings The update to version 1.0-1 of Vibrate Toggle SBSettings adds a little more functionality to the app. After writing my last post about the toggle, many of you pointed out that there were still times when your iPhone or iPod Touch vibrated even after using this app to toggle the vibrate feature off. The update fixes a few of these issue. Your iPhone/iPod Touch will no longer vibrate when receiving a text message, a phone call or when switching it to silent mode. However, it still does vibrate when switching back on from silent mode and when you plug your device in. So, we are getting closer…not quite there yet but, with another update or two I think we might get it! I personally still use this toggle because it does the majority of what I want it to.

Vibrate Toggle SBSettings – Easily Turn on/off Vibrate Feature

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

Vibrate SBSettings Toggle The Vibate Toggle SBSettings application is exactly what the title indicates…it adds a vibrate option to your SBSettings which allows you to toggle on/off the vibrate feature. Personally, I think this is a nice option to have (sometimes the vibrate is as loud as a ringtone!!). When I tested this toggle…it worked perfectly. If you toggle it off, the vibrate feature is turned off. If you toggle it on, you get a short vibrate indicating the the feature has been turned back on. If it doesn’t automatically show up in the SBSettings application, you will need to go into More (in SBSettings) and then Set Toggles and turn on the Vibrate option.

On a side note, what are some of the toggles you have in SBSettings?

No Dock Reflections

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

WinterBoard Honestly, I was slightly confused when I saw this app (No Dock Reflections) in Cydia. The purpose of the application is to allow the ability to turn of the dock reflections if you have the ReflectiveDock mod installed. What had me confused is that when I did a review of the ReflectiveDock mod when it was first released, it already added a “no dock reflections” option into WinterBoard….so, I didn’t see the reason why we would need it again as a seperate package. Well, after uninstalling and reinstalling both application I realized that somewhere along the line of updates, the ReflectiveDock mod no longer shows up in WinterBoard once installed and no longer installs an option to turn off the dock reflections. So, therefore, No Dock Reflections is a much needed and very useful application (though, I personally hardly ever turn off the dock reflections)! [Read more…]
