Apple Invites Press to October 4th iPhone Event
Most likely, Apple will be announcing both the iPhone 5 and the new iOS firmware at their October 4th event.
The invitation to the press is titled, “Let’s talk iPhone.
” This leads me to believe there will be voice to text built into iOS 5. I’ve tested it out a little using the updated Target app. It seems to recognize what I say really well.

Reminders – New App From Apple in iOS 5
I’ve always longed for a simple task management app that isn’t over complicated.
I’ve also though of developing an app that would remind you of a task based on your location. For example, I could create a reminder that the next time I come a certain restaurant I need to remember to try their Salmon Special, or something like that. With Apple’s new stock app called Reminders, I now have a simple task manager with location based reminders!
I am using the location feature the most right now by reminding myself to track my hours at work.
When I arrive or leave work, I get a reminder to record my hours for the day. [Read more…]
iOS 4.3 To Be Released Today – Should You Upgrade?
During the iPad 2 event, Apple announced iOS 4.3 and it’s release date of March 11th. However, rumor has it, that iOS 4.3 is going to be released today. The upgrade will be available for the iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 GSM model (meaning the AT&T iPhone and not the Verizon iPhone) and the iPod touch (3rd & 4th generations). Below is a list of a few the features we will see with iOS 4.3.
Note: Like with all firmware updates, if you have a jailbroke device, you will want to hold off on updating when the new iOS is released… especially with the upgrade to iOS 4.3. Below is a warning from BigBoss.
