Snapture, a very cool camera application, has recently been updated to version 2.0. The update adds a few notable new features including touch-to-focus (for iPhone 3GS users), photo sharing (Twitter and Facebook) and a few color filters. The update is free for those who have already purchased the app.

The CEO of Snapture Labs, the developers of the very cool camera application Snapture, has released a letter to jailbreak customers. A couple days ago we informed you that Snapture (formally a jailbroke application) had made it’s way to the App Store. This left many of us wondering where those of us who purchased it as a jailbroke app stood. Well, the company has decided to address the issue giving everyone who purchased Snapture as a jailbroke app a free upgrade to the App Store version of the app. Below is the letter from the CEO with specifics of how and when you can receive the upgrade.

If you have been around the jailbreak scene for a while now, you have probably heard about Snapture, a camera application. It seems that the app has been revamped and is now available in the App Store. This used to be one of my favorite jailbroke applications… I’m glad to see that it has made it’s way to the App Store.

Snapture is a favorite among many of you…including Doug and I…so updates are always exciting! Well, version 1.4 of Snapture adds an option in the Settings menu that allows you to choose how long of delay you would like on the timer. I think this is a great feature! We have actually used the timer feature a few times to take pics. Snapture is probably one the top favorites among iPhone apps. So, what could possibly make it more functional? Well, how about the ability to hide the Zoom Slider…you got it! Version 1.3 adds an option to the Settings menu that allows you to turn on/off the Zoom Slider. Not only that, but Snapture is now available in four languages; English, French, German, and Italian. Pretty nice update to an app that is already pretty sweet! Snapture is available through the BigBoss source.
Snapture has a whole new look! All the features are still there…just in new spots! The zoom has been moved to the top of the screen and the photo options have been moved to the side. One cool new feature is that you can make the photo options disappear by tapping the blue arrow…to bring them back, tap it again. The options in the Settings have also been renamed but, still do the same things as in the previous version. I have a feeling this app used to be a little too similar to Camera Pro…well, not anymore!
