Apple Stores Open at 8:00am for iPhone 3G Launch

We’ve known for a little while that AT&T Stores will be open at 8:00am local time on July 11th for the launch of the iPhone 3G but now Apple has released info stating they will also open at 8:00am. If you visit Apple’s Retail site at www.apple.com/retail you will see the info we snagged in the screenshot above. We will be at our local Apple Store pretty early that day to be there for the opening. If you’re not in the US let me know what time your service provider is opening. If you can get a link confirming this we’ll post it in this article.

AT&T Post iPhone 3G Info

AT&T Lots of good info here. Mainly the pricing for no contract iPhones are $599 & $699 (coming soon). For early upgrades the price is $399 & $499. If you currently have an iPhone or are upgrade eligible you will pay $199 & $299. Also, current AT&T customers are also charged a $18 upgrade fee.

If you’re new to AT&T you’ll need a photo ID and Social Security Number. A deposit may be required at time of purchase, upon credit review. An activation fee of $36 will be billed to your account and a 2 year contract is required. You can speed things up by visiting the AT&T store before the July 11th launch to run a pre-qualifying credit check.

ATT Wireless We said they were coming and here they are! We received an email from AT&T Wireless with the links to the refurbished iPhones. You can get the iPhone’s (8GB and 16GB) for around $150 lower than retail price. But, you will want to hurry supplies are limited!
