KeyVib 1.0

Available In: Cydia       Price: Free

KeyVibIf you liked iPhone haptics then you’ll be happy to hear that the feature is back in Cydia from KeyVib. KeyVib makes your iPhone vibrate for anytime you type. I installed it late last night and I couldn’t get it to work but after turning on and off airplane mode it started working today. I can’t tell if I like it or not. Sometimes it doesn’t vibrate exactly when you hit a key. I have also been having problems getting it to stay running. It will just randomly start working. I have quite a few apps installed from both Cydia, Installer and the App Store so I’m not sure yet what is effecting it.

Update: I figured out that when you are switched to silent mode, it is disabled. Seems to work fine now, just can’t be in silent mode.

WritingPad 1.0

Available In: App Store       Price: Free

WritingPad is an application by ShapeWriter that allows you to create Notes by using a “revolutionary text input technology that enables you to enter text into the iPhone by tracing word shapes rather than typing letters.” So, what exactly does that mean? Well, when you open WritingPad, you will be greeted with the main page. On this page you will see a few default notes explaining the application and how it works including; the basics on how to use the application, how to use the capitalization feature, what to do in the case of double letters and how to add new words to the dictionary. Tap the + icon in the upper right corner to start a new note. You will notice that the note will have the Date and Time at the top and a QWERTY keyboard at the bottom of the screen. Now for the fun part.

To enter a word, do not type the individual letters of the words instead, drag your finger to each letter. For example if you would like to type Train, start on the “t” then drag your finger to the “r”, “a”, “i” and “n” (without taking your finger off the keyboard). You will see a blue line being drawn on the keyboard as you drag your finger. Once you are on the “n” you can release and it will add the word Train to your note above. To “type” your next word, [Read more…]

Vista Perfection Keyboard 1.0

Vista Perfection Keyboard Vista Perfection Keyboard is a keyboard replacement application. When installed, it will replace your stock keyboard. I did notice that when you are in the number/symbol view on the keyboard and then hit the Shift key to get more symbols, the more symbols keyboard does not show up correctly. And when in Safari, it shows half of the symbols (from the first symbols keyboard) on the first symbols keyboard and then the other half on the second symbols keyboard. So, you do not get any symbols from the second symbols keyboard. Below are some screenshots. [Read more…]

MacBook Air Keyboard

The MacBook Air Keyboard mod will change your stock keyboard to a black and silver keyboard that resembles a MacBook Air keyboard. I was able to install and uninstall this keyboard with no issues. The MacBook Air Keyboard is available through the Planet-iPhones source.

Note: If you have a custom keyboard already installed, make sure you uninstall it before installing the MacBook Air Keyboard.
