New Poll – Do you think the launch of the DROID will negatively affect iPhone sales?
It’s time for a new poll. The last poll was – What app do you use to get jailbroke applications onto your iPhone and/or iPod touch? Below are the results.
* Cydia (77.0%, 2,372 Votes)
* Icy (2.0%, 68 Votes)
* Rock Your iPhone RockApp (7.0%, 200 Votes)
* Installer (4.0%, 112 Votes)
* I’m not jailbroke. (10.0%, 309 Votes)
Total Voters: 3,061
Well, it seems that the majority of jailbroke iPhone and iPod touch users prefer Cydia which really doesn’t surprise me too much. What does surprise me is that 7% of the voters use Rock Your iPhone (RockApp). I didn’t expect it to be that many.
You can still vote on this Poll in our Poll Archive page. You can also vote/view all the past polls on the Poll Archive page as well.
The next poll was inspired by tomorrow’s launch of the Motorola DROID.

| Available In: Cydia | Price: Free |
trichome is a very nicely designed WinterBoard theme that contains 39 small icons (some are alternate icons), a wallpaper, dock, badges, pop-up mod, live clock mod and page indicators.
I really like the live clock mod implementation. You do not have to have the actual LiveClock app installed for the live clock to work with this theme… it is built into the theme. The theme also contains an icon mask which resizes all icons (besides web clip icons) so that they match the themed icons. It also contains a detailed .psd file allowing you to create your own icons for the theme. You can get trichrome via the modmyi source.

I don’t know if you guys have seen this yet or not but, TechnoBuffalo recently did a very nice video comparison of the iPhone 3GS vs. the Motorola Droid. The video is just over 17 minutes long and covers everything from browser usability and speed to customization to maps to app availability.
I’m sure all the Droid ads may have peeked your interest… so, take a look. Personally, I’m partial to the iPhone… obviously!

Volume Buttons Disable is a hack that does exactly what the title says… disables your volume buttons. As soon as you install the hack, and your device resprings, the volume buttons on the side of your device will no longer work. I’m not exactly sure why you would want this but… there’s a hack for that!
If for some reason you do install this hack, you can always adjust your volume using the SBSettings Volume Slider Widget which allows you to quickly adjust your volume via a slider in SBSettings.

Tweetie 2.1 Coming Soon
| Available In: App Store | Price: $2.99 |
There are a lot of twitter apps in the App Store actually, there are quite a few good twitter apps in the App Store. Personally, I have always been partial to Tweetie and like many people I was totally stoked about the release of Tweetie 2. I’m still a believer in the app, but lets just say it has it’s bugs. So, I was once again stoked to hear about the update to version 2.1 of the app.
The update to Tweetie 2 version 2.1 includes quite a few bug fixes (thank goodness) and also quite a few cool new features. According to TechCrunch, there are two features that they think we will like the most; “New-style retweets and geolocation support.”
