There is an update to Garf in the Installer.app through the MofMyiFone source. There are a few noticeable changes with this update. The overall game is brighter and the play area is larger – both improvements make the game more enjoyable. It also seems as though the app runs a little smoother…maybe some back-end code changes were made…I could just be searching too hard for changes!! :) Let me know in the comments if you notice anything else. Here are the screenshots:
Garf Update 0.17
Othello Update 1.2-1
There was an update in the Installer.app for Othello which is available through the Conceited Software Source. This update does exactly what I hoped it would do!!
It fixed the bug that when one player ran out of moves the game would just kind of freeze weird. Now, when one player runs out of moves it tells which player won and the score!! Great update! Here are the screenshots:
iBlackjack Update alpha5.1 & 5.1.1
ContraSense Update 1.2 & 1.3
There was an update to ContraSense in the Installer.app through the Soneso Repository source. The update brings quite a few changes to the app.
When you open it, you will now find that it no longer gives you the option to choose from three levels instead it has been replaced with two options, play and donate. The update also adds some new info to the top of the play screen….you will now find the level you are on, the distance you have left, the time you have been playing and your score (before all that was displayed was the distance left). The screen that pops-up when you crash has also changed…it now says; Crash…Don’t give up!. But, the most impressive part of the update is that you can control the speed of the car. If you tilt your iPhone forward the car speeds up and if you tilt your iPhone back it slows the car down.
The very quick update by the developer from version 1.2 to version 1.3 was supposed to fix some of the glitchiness of the new speed control feature however, I still get some glitching when the car moves towards the wall. Maybe we will see another update!! I’m torn between if I like the new feature of speed control or not…I kind of liked the old school version!!
Let me know what you think! Here are the screenshots:
iSnake Update – beta1
New Game – Towers of Hanoi
Towers of Hanoi is a new game available in the Installer.app through the Soneso Repository source. The object of the game is to get all of the colored blocks from the first peg to the last peg. You can move the blocks on any peg to get them there but, you can not put a larger block on top of a smaller one…you can only put smaller ones on top of larger ones. You start out in level one just trying to get two blocks moved from the first peg to the last peg.
As you pass each level (after you have won, you just tap the screen to get to the next level)…it brings you to the next level which adds another block…until the last level in which you have to move 6 blocks from the first peg to the last peg. It keeps track of your level, amount of moves, times and score in the upper left corner. There is a Reset button in the top left corner however, it resets you back to the first level…it doesn’t just reset that level…also, if you restart the app it brings you back to the first level as well. I LOVE this game…I was totally addicted and played for like 10 minutes until I beat it! But, now that I beat it…I can’t really play it any more!! :( And there isn’t really a way to make more levels…unless you added more blocks I guess. Here are the screenshots:
iSolitaire Update – 0.71
There is an update in the Installer.app for iSolitaire (which is available through the Ste Packaging source). The update does exactly what I though it would…speeds up the animation. It now does it’s sweet 3D flip a lot faster!!
Very cool!! Screenshot:
New Game – Backgammon
Backgammon is available in the Installer.app through the Ste Packaging source. When you open the app you will find an intro screen which allows you to play vs.
iPhone or vs. Human. You can also donate via PayPal. Once you have made your selection it will open to the game.
To roll the dice just tap on Roll. To move the little pieces just tap the piece you would like to move then tap on the place you would like to move it to. You can undo a move by tapping Undo in the bottom right corner. A running score is kept in the bottom left corner. Honestly…I have absolutely no idea how to play Backgammon so…that is about all of the instruction I can give you!! However…here is the link to the Wiki article on Backgammon….hopefully that helps!! Here are the screenshots:
Labyrinth Update 1.0.0
Labyrinth is available in the Installer.app through the Ste Packaging source. This is actually not a new game…however, we have never done a post about this game becuase it never worked correctly. It seems that after making some changes they have come out with an update for it.
When you select the game it opens to a screen with four option; you can demo the game, calibrate your iPhone, view the credits and buy the game.
This is only a demo in order to have the full version you must purchase the game. The object of the game is to get the silver ball to checkered ball (by tilting your iPhone) without falling into the holes. When you tap on Demo you are able to play the game for about 25 seconds, if your time runs out you will get a screen saying Out of Time!
and then the ability to play again. If you win during the demo, you will get a screen saying Congratulations! You complete level 0, and then the amount if time it took you to complete the level. You then have the ability to play the next level. If you pass a level…

Domino Update 1.1
There was an update in the Installer.app yesterday for Domino which is in the Soneso Source. The update changed the intro screen…
instead of saying human vs human and human vs device it says 1 player or 2 player. Which…I think is a good update!! It also seems like the dominoes move a little differently but, I could just be over analyzing! Here are a few screenshots:
iSolitare Update 0.7
There has been an update to iSolitaire in the Installer.app. The update adds a new Animation feature. Now, when a card flips over, it does this sweet little flip thing instead of just showing up.
You can turn off the animation feature in the settings…but, I am definitely going to be leaving mine on!! A very cool update! Here are the screenshots:
New Game – Othello
New Game – Domino
Domino is a new game available in the Installer.app through the Soneso Source. The object of the game is to match your dominoes to the center dominoes…the first player to get rid of all of their dominoes is the winner. When the app first opens it gives you the option to human vs human or human vs device. Once you make a selection, you will be brought to the play screen where there are two rows of dominoes…one on the top of the screen and one on the bottom (you need to tip your iPhone horizontally). If you are playing human vs device, your dominoes are the ones on the bottom. The first move goes to the player with the highest number doubles on their dominoes.
To move just tap the domino you would like to play. You continue the game by matching your domino to one of the two dominoes in the middle (you can lay your domino on either side as long as it matches). If you do not have any dominoes that match just tap your dominoes and it will draw you two more. If your domino can be played on either side…two little arrows will pop up allowing you to choose the side you would like your domino on. Once one of the players win…you will be given the option to play again by tapping the screen. Here are the screenshots:
iBlackjack Update alpha5
There has been an update in the Installer.app for iBlackjack. The update to alpha5 brings with it a few changes! When you first open the app to the play screen you will notice that it gives each player their total points as they play (you can shut this feature off in the preferences).
There have also been some changes made to the screens that pop up when you wins or lose. Each screen now gives you specifics on the amount of money you have won or lost. The preferences have also changed…you can choose to turn off showing the player totals and there is also an option to change the theme. As of right now…the only theme available is the default theme however, there is a button on the bottom right corner that says Get More. When you tap on Get More it gives you instructions on a source you can add to get more themes. The designer also added some copyright info on the bottom of the preferences screen which was not there before.
Overall…a good update! Here are the screenshots:
New Game – ContraSense
ContraSense is a new game available in the Installer.app through the Soneso Source. The point of the game is to get your car to the end of the distance without crashing into any other cars. To move your car you just tilt your iPhone. When the app first opens it give you three levels to choose from, level 1 through 3, one being the easiest and three being the hardest. Once you select a level the app opens and you’re off.
As you play the distance you have remaining is shown in the upper left corner. If you crash into another car a nice little Crash! screen pops up and gives you the option to play again. I have no idea what it does when you win….
BECAUSE I CAN’T GET PAST THE FIRST LEVEL!!! Can you sense the frustration!! :) There is a little bit of play if you hit another car in the front bumper but, if you touch it anywhere near the rear bumper you will crash!
Overall, a pretty cool game. Here are the screenshots:
UPDATE: I have FINALLY beat Level 1 – thank you, thank you! YAY! Check out the new screenshot (proof)!
