Slide to Unlock Killer is a mod that removes the text from the slider bars on your iPhone or iPod touch. It removed both the “slide to unlock” and the “slide to power off” text. The actual slider bar remains, just the text is removed. This is nice for lock screen mods that change the slider bar.

The mod can be activated/deactivated via WinterBoard. Also, the title of the mod in WinterBoard is EntriegelKiller. You can get Slide to Unlock Killer via the Touch-Mania source.

MusicInfo – Display Song Title, Artist and Album in Status Bar

I guess I’m on some sort of iPod kick today so, here is another cool app for you. MusicInfo is a mod that quickly displays a song’s info in your status bar.

Once installed, when you switch to a new song, you will get a quick five second overlay on your status bar that displays the song title, artist and album.

This mod will work anywhere in which the status bar is visible. It also comes in two colors; black and white (installed separately). Also, this a code app so you will not see an icon on your SpringBoard. It is not activated/deactivated via WinterBoard. If you would like to remove the mod, you will need to uninstall it in Cydia. SixRows – Six Rows on Your SpringBoard (Seven Counting the Dock)

SixRows is a mod that allows you to have six rows of icons on your SpringBoard. Technically it is seven rows of icons if you include the dock. There is currently already a mod that allows you to have five rows of icons (six including the dock) called FiveIrows. There is also another mod allowing for five columns on your SpringBoard called FCSB. So, I guess SixRows just gives you one more option for modding your iPhone or iPod Touch exactly they way you would like it.

When you install SixRows, your device will respring and you will instantly have six (seven) rows on your SpringBoard. This mod can not be activated/deactivated via WinterBoard. Also, because the SixRows mod really squishes your icons together, it does not display the icon titles (they are overlapped by the next row of icons). So, unless the theme is designed specifically for the SixRows mod, you will probably want to turn your icon labels off via WinterBoard. [Read more…]

1*1 SpringBoard – No Web Clips Needed.

1*1 SpringBoard is a mod that, when installed, automatically puts one icon in the middle of each page of your SpringBoard without the use of blank icons or web clips. There are a few things you should know before installing this application.

1*1 SpringBoard is not activated via WinterBoard, it is a mobile substrate application which means there is no icon for it, it just runs in the background. Which also means, you will want to prepare your iPhone BEFORE you install this application.

If you are familiar with iNav themes, then you will understand what I am about to tell you on how to prepare your iPhone. If you need more info about how to set up your iPhone or iPod Touch for a iNav theme…please check out THIS review.

Custom HomeButton – Choose a Home Button Double-Tap

Custom HomeButton, is an application that allows you to choose your Home Button double-tap. I have actually been waiting for an application like this. On the 1.1.x firmware, I used an application called iPhoneHome. It was not updated for the 2.x firmware. However, Custom HomeButton actually gives me a little more functionality than iPhoneHome did.

Once installed, you can get to the Custom HomeButton settings via your stock Settings application. In the settings, you have the option to enable/disable the app and choose what you would like your Home Button double-tap to be. You can choose from the stock apps, App Store applications, Cydia applications, a list of websites or set a custom app/website. [Read more…]

StatusBar Dots – Move Page Dots to Your Status Bar

StatusBar Dots is a mod that moves your page dots to your status bar. So, instead of having the dots below your forth row (or fifth if you are using the FiveIrows mod) they are on your status bar. In order to have the page dots on your status bar, the app moves your time over to the far right on your status bar (similar to the RightClock mod).

If you do not have any sort of status bar notifications, this mod should work well for you. However, if you do have status bar notifications, it will push all your notification over to the right and they will overlap on top of each other. You also cannot see the ninth page indicator dot if you have notifications on your status bar. [Read more…]

65 Wallpapers

65 Wallpapers is a pack of, you guessed it, 65 wallpapers! The pack includes space, nature, abstract and cartoon style wallpapers. I found all of the wallpapers to be of nice quality….there are even a few that I am going to use! If you are looking for a new lock screen background, the perfect wallpaper for a specific theme or even just a new wallpaper (I use clear icons so, changing my wallpaper is like having a whole new theme!)…you might want to check these out. Below are screenshots of all 65 wallpapers. Also, when you install this wallpaper pack, the wallpapers are added to your stock Settings application under Wallpapers. Another thing to note is that this is 65 wallpaper so, the file size is pretty large and could take a little longer to install. You can get this wallpaper pack through the Touch-Mania source. FiveIrows – Five Rows of Icons on your SpringBoard (six counting the dock icons)

I know many of you are patiently waiting the release of the FCSB (which has technically been released in Cydia just not by the actual developer). Well, while you wait, you could try out the FiveIrows mod. This mod allows for five rows of icons (technically six if you count the icons in the dock).

When installed, it will automatically adjusts your icons so that you are able to fit five rows on your SpringBoard. It also adds a theme to WinterBoard called FiveIRows Page Dots which will also adjust your page dots to fit better with the five rows of icons. I also noticed that when installed, it stops your icons from wiggling when in “move” mod. Not a huge issue but, reminds me of a lot of other mods of this type…they all seem to stop the wiggling.
