As of right now there are only 32 reviews of the application and it has a 4 start rating. It seems the majority of people are very happy with the game…a few are complaining of crashing issues. Note: If you are one of the first few to purchase the app, let us know in the comments what you think of it so far!

Tangram Puzzle Pro – A Tangram Puzzle Game

Available In: App Store       Price: Free (for a limited time)

tangram Pro Ok, I have been totally addicted to this application for the last few days so, I thought I would pass it along. Tangram Puzzle Pro is a Tangram application. If you are not familiar with what a Tangram is, it is basically a puzzle of seven shapes (2 large triangles, 1 medium triangle, 2 small triangles, 1 small square and 1 medium parallelogram). The object of the “game” is to fit all seven pieces into the given silhouette in which every piece is touching another piece but none of the pieces are overlapping.

The first time you open Tangram Puzzle Pro, you will get Instruction on how to play the game. You can click the Next button to get through the Instructions. Once you are through the instruction, you will get a screen asking if you would like to listen to your own music or their music. If you choose to listen to your own music, you will need to start your music via your iPod application and then go into the Pangram Puzzle Pro app. After you have made your music preference selection, you will be brought to the main Puzzle Menu where you will see a list of all the available Puzzle packs. Each Puzzle Pack has around 60 puzzles within it. You can select any Puzzle Pack you would like and any puzzle within the Puzzle Pack. Once you have made your selection, you will be brought to the puzzle’s page. [Read more…]

Darts

Available In: App Store       Price: Free

Darts The developer Brian Hammond brings his first app into the App Store, and it looks like its a must-have app! For everyone who is a fan of Dart games, Brian Hammond has released Darts, the best dart game in the App Store! Darts comes with 2 dart games: X01 and Cricket. X01, which is the most popular darts game, is when you have to hit numbers to get your score from a pre-set score back to 0. The objective of Cricket (which was a new one for me) is to hit a number between 15-20 and Bulls-eye 3 times each. The first person to do so, wins. This game is pretty simple to play, but can range in difficulty from fairly easy, to practically impossible! [Read more…]

Doom Well well, after a week-end of travel, I sit down to get back to work and what do I find, a Doom port! Very cool! The port is of the shareware version of Doom. When you open the application, you will come to a screen where you will need to tap Play. This will bring you into the game. The controls are on the screen. You can use the arrows to move the direction the arrow is pointing. Yes, there are two right arrows and yes, they do the same thing…move your guy to the right. To shoot, use the gun button in the upper right. To walk, just tilt your iPhone back. To stop walking, tilt your iPhone forward. The Open button is what you use to open doors. [Read more…]

Blackbeard’s Assault

Available In: App Store       Price: $2.99

Blackbeard’s Assault Blackbeard’s Assault is a game similar to Zuma. The object of the game is to remove all the balls from the path. You do this by matching three or more of the same color balls in a row. I know, sounds like the same old game you have played a million times, but this one is a step above the rest. The graphics are amazing, the game play is smooth, the sound is quality, there are enough levels/difficultly levels to satisfy even the avid game player and it is both addicting and challenging!

When you first open the application you will get the main screen where you are able to read about how to play Blackbeard’s Assault, actually play the game and see the credits for the app. I suggest taking a look at how to play the game before playing it the first time…there are quite a few helpful tips and tricks in there! Once you select Play, you will be brought to a menu with three difficult options; Normal, Hard and Expert. There is a nice story line that goes with the game so, after selecting a difficulty level, you will see a quick blurb and then you are able to tap the screen to begin the game.

RailWater 1.0

Available In: cydia       Price: Free

RailWater is actually a very fun game of strategy. The object of the game is to add the correct pipes joints to move the water through all the pipes and at the same time have all the numbers match. When you open RailWater you will get a splash screen and then the main menu. On the main menu, there are two options; Play and Help. Help is actually in a different language so unless you speak Italian (I don’t actually know if it is Italian! :) ) the Help will not help you much. Once you select Play you will be on the main play screen. Here you will notice an upper menu bar and a lower menu bar. On the upper menu you have the level you are on, the amount of time that has passed, the option to go back to the main menu, restart that level and turn the sound on/off.
