8liasTAG – WinterBoard Theme

8liasTAG 8liastag3 8liasTAG is a cool WinterBoard theme. The theme contains a dock, wallpaper, status bar, lock background, 100 icons, slider and badge. However, as with every theme, this one does have a catch. The Stocks icon is spelled incorrectly in the package so, you will need to ssh in and change it from Stock.png to Stocks.png. Also, I think the wrong size wallpaper was included in the package. The wallpaper is 533×800 and it needs to be 320×480 (the correct size is below for those off you who would like to ssh it in). Blue Aqua – WinterBoard Theme

Blue Aqua blueaquatheme3 BlueAqua is a clean theme that contains 45 icons, a dock, a wallpaper and a Weather App theme. As much as I really do like the icons for this theme, I have a few qualms…the Mail App icon does not display correctly without some SSH work, I’m not big on the blue font on the status bar and the Weather App theme doesn’t match the rest of the theme. But, if you are looking for some decent icons, you might like this theme. You can get blueAqua via the iSpazio source.

To fix the mail icon, just SSH into the Library/Themes/blueAqua by DD/Icons folder and change mail.png to Mail.png. [Read more…]

iNitsua Portrait Theme Tutorial – iNav WinterBoard Theme

iNitsua Portrait initsuaportrait1 Ok, iNitsua Portrait is a pretty sweet iNav inspired theme. There is also a landscape version of the theme but, I’m going to be concentrating on the portrait version. I’m not going to tell you how long it took me to set this theme up but I’m hoping my guide below will help you set it up in much, much, much less time than it took me!

The guide below looks a little long and probably a bit crazy but, it is because I walked through every step.

Black Wood – WinterBoard Theme

WinterBoard blackwoodtheme2 Black Wood is a nicely designed mostly black theme with some white and yellow accents. This is a “normal” theme (meaning not an iNav theme) so, there is no additional set-up. The theme comes with a wallpaper, dock, 269 icons, badge, slider…etc. The theme package also include a template for the icons (.psd file) which is always nice. The .psd file is located in the Library/Theme/Black Wood/Extra. I think these icons might also be small enough to be used with the FCSB mod. You can get Black Wood via the BigBoss source. IFDark No Logo – iNav WinterBoard Theme

winterBoard ifdarknologo4 IFDark No Logo is an iNav inspired theme, actually it is basically like a skin to the original iNav theme. It is definitely one of the easier iNav themes to set up. To do so, you will want to have all your application in an Apps and Games folder except the following; Phone, SMS, Email, Safari, iPod, Camera, Photo, Games and Apps.

You will want one icon on each page of your SpringBoard (in the same order they are listed in above). The icons need to be in the third row, the third icon in (see screenshots below). Once you have all nine icons arranged correctly, you can go into WinterBoard and activate the theme. [Read more…]

1*1 SpringBoard – No Web Clips Needed.

1*1 SpringBoard 1*1 SpringBoard is a mod that, when installed, automatically puts one icon in the middle of each page of your SpringBoard without the use of blank icons or web clips. There are a few things you should know before installing this application.

1*1 SpringBoard is not activated via WinterBoard, it is a mobile substrate application which means there is no icon for it, it just runs in the background. Which also means, you will want to prepare your iPhone BEFORE you install this application.

If you are familiar with iNav themes, then you will understand what I am about to tell you on how to prepare your iPhone. If you need more info about how to set up your iPhone or iPod Touch for a iNav theme…please check out THIS review.

You will want to have all your apps/games in an Apps and Games folder created using Categories that way you can have only the nine icons you would like on your SpringBoard. [Read more…]

Pink Apple – WinterBoard Theme

Pink Apple pinkapple2 This is a theme for the ladies! Pink Apple is a pink theme that contains 49 icons, a wallpaper and a dock. The theme also contains WiFi bar, Signal Bars and a Carrier Logo but, none of those three mods showed up when I tested the theme. Nova – WinterBoard Theme

Nova is a very unique theme…it is clean and well designed. It contains 21 icons, a dock, status bar, badge and wallpaper. The only downfall is that there is no icon for the Maps application. I even took a look at the folder to make sure it wasn’t spelled incorrectly but, nope, no Maps icon. The upside is that the folder does contain a .psd file so that you can create your own icons. So, if you are ssh savvy and photoshop savvy…you could take care of the no Maps icon problem. If you are ssh or photoshop savvy…you might have to wait for an update before getting a Maps icon! Ovals – WinterBoard Theme

Ovals ovalstheme2 Ovals, is a theme that changes your icons into vertical ovals. The theme contains 53 icons and a wallpaper (actually a few wallpapers). There are a few things I really like about this theme. The first is that the theme has a mask so that all your App Store icons are themed! Which is sweet! The second is that the theme file contains an icon template (a .psd file) so that you can create an icon for any jailbroke apps that might not already have one. Ovals would also work for any of you who use the FCSB mod. Personally, I had to make a few mods to the theme for it to look the way I wanted it to. In WinterBoard, I selected; user wallpaper (and then just used a black wallpaper), transparent dock and reflective dock. You can get this theme via the modmyi source. [Read more…]

Relax – WinterBoard Theme

WinterBoard relaxtheme3 Relax is a nice, calm theme that contains 34 icons, a dock, a wallpaper and a lock screen background. One thing to note about this theme is that when you install it, the theme’s iTunes icon does not display…it is in the file, it is just named incorrectly. If you are comfortable with SSH…you can SSH into the Library/Themes/Relax Theme/Icons folder and rename the icon file Itunes to iTunes…then it will show up correctly. Also, the red badge just does not go with this theme…I would have loved to have seen a nice semi-transparent badge (or maybe one that matched a little better!). But, it is still a nice theme that is easy on the eyes! You can get this theme via the iSpazio source.

How to Install

1. Your device must be jailbroken. (how?)
2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the iSpazio source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for Relax in Cydia, run the install.
4. Open WinterBoard and activate the Relax theme.

6 iPhone 3.0 Icons – WinterBoard Theme

6 iPhone 3.0 Icons 6 iPhone 3.0 Icons is a theme that includes the Stocks, iPod, Phone, Voice Memos, SMS and MMS icons from the 3.0 firmware. When you install 6 iPhone 3.0 Icons (via the iSpazio source), it will add the theme into WinterBoard where it can then be activated/deactivated. When activated, the Phone, Stocks, iPod and SMS icons will change to the 3.0 icons however, you will not see the Voice Memos or MMS icons due to the fact that there are no apps with these titles on your SpringBoard (or at least not on my SpringBoard). But, the icons are in the theme’s folder so if you want them you can go to Library/Themes/iPhone 3.0 Icons/Icons folder on your iPhone or iPod Touch. I also added them to this post (see screenshots below) The theme only contains these six icons. I will say that I’m a little confused by the MMS icon…I’m not sure if it is based on the country you are in or what but, Doug does not have that icon on his 3.0 upgrade.

PlayGround – WinterBoard Theme

WinterBoard playgroundtheme2 PlayGround is not a new theme for the iPhone and/or iPod Touch…we saw this theme back on the 1.1.4 (and below) firmware. However, it seems it has made it’s way to the 2.x firmware. The theme contains 120 icons (though, once again does not contain an icon for the App Store), a dock and a wallpaper. You can get PlayGround via the iSpazio source.

How to Install

1. Your device must be jailbroken. (how?)
2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the iSpazio source installed in Cydia.
3. Search for PlayGround in Cydia, run the install.

iWorld – WinterBoard Theme

WinterBoard iworldtheme2 iWorld is a simple theme that includes 83 icons (though, no App Store icon!), a dock and a wallpaper. This is the type of theme I use when I am looking for something simple, clean and easy to read. And for some reason this theme makes me feel calm…might be a good theme for those stressful days! :) You can get iWorld via the iSpazio source.

How to Install

2. Make sure you have WinterBoard installed via Cydia.
2. Make sure you have the iSpazio source installed in Cydia.

WinterBoard Themes – Themes, Key Highlight Mods and a Wallpaper Pack

WinterBoard I’m still catching up on all the themes/mods that have been released lately. But, I got through another section of them and below are a few I thought I would mention. There are 4 themes, 3 key highlight mods and one wallpaper pack. The four themes include; Pump (via Sleepers.net), CLoud9 (via BigBoss), Abeo Alistair (via MacCiti) and Flat (via MacCiti). The key highlight mods will change the color of the keys on the keyboard when you select them. The three shown in the screenshots below include; Purple and Pink Highlight Keys, Camo Highlight Keys and Red and Black Highlight Keys…all of which are available through the Sleepers.net source. I actually really like key highlight mods…it is so weird to see a different color when you type! The wallpaper pack, MoMa Pack 1 (via MacCiti) contains eight unique wallpapers. WinterBoard Mods – Theme, Keyboards and Wallpaper Packs

WinterBoard I’m still trying to get caught up on all the mods that were released this week-end. After looking through quite a few of them (though, I still have quite a few left), here are a few I thought were worth mentioning. The first is a theme, iComplete via BigBoss. The title really does explain the theme…it is very complete. It mods almost every part of your iPhone or iPod Touch including, wallpaper, icons, battery, UI images, dialer…etc. There is also a match SMBSettings theme as well. The next mods are keyboard mods. Macbook White KeyBoard, via BigBoss, and Neutra Keys, via modmyi, both theme your stock keyboard (see screenshots below). All three of the mods mentioned above are activated through WinterBoard. The last two apps are wallpaper packs…both vDay and Changing Times are available via the MacCiti source. [Read more…]
